Grey Foley
Jason Sceri
Dimitri Simukov
Shaggy
JWP
Preacher
Simon Chamberlin (little known but great NZ fighter, in the S1 this year)
Ian Schaffa
In no particular order and just my opinion.
I've excluded Soren and some others due to the fact that they generally fight Muay Thai only which is quite a different pace and style to Max. Not that can't be adapted, ie Buakaw, he owns Max.

alot of these guys are generally muay thai fighters ( soron, macfie, eli madigan) but im sure they could adapt for a shot at k-1 max

I think you guys underestimate the adaptation to K1 rules just because Buakaw has made it look so easy. There have been a lot of excellent MT guys who have tried and failed miserably. It is not only the rules, but the pace of the fights also and I am not just talking hands and feet, I mean workrate and aggressiveness.
There is no better example of this than Yoshihiro Sato. Have any of you guys seen his fights under Thai rules? The dude is a beast.

I agree with you Hironaka. I did forget to add Dawson to the list. Chapman can't make 72 anymore let alone 70 for Max. He is boxing tonight here in Auckland at 78kg, light heavy weight!

Thanks guys good lists.
I think JWP and Dawson have to make an appearance.
Soren and PreacherI think would make that group too along with Jordan Tai.
If Wazza and Choppa could get back down in weight (which I have heard they can not) they would be in there.
Schaffa,Baris, Hamid and Foley (allowing weight) would be right up there.
I think many will doubt Baris but I think his experience could see him through.
I'd like to see these guys like Scerri and Georgie go head to head against Baris/Jenk.

Hironaka, you are a wise soul, One thing I have noticed is that Buakaw wins moreso with his work rate, throwing multiple kicks and always countering opposition moves. Thai stylist need to adapt to the fast pace I think the best chance is Dawson, good pace, good defense

jwp - work rate is high, good all round skills.
preacher - defenatly can lift his work rate, has the power and skills
to mix it up.
shaggy - loves to just get it on, with his power and speed would mix
it up.
dawson - solid defence and can adapt to the fast pace

Choppa is far too heavy now...
He's a super middleweight fighter. Would struggle to get anywhere near Max weight just going off what he looked like in Melb earlier this year.

i suppose CHOPPA will have to settle for Eugene and not Max
