Well Roy Jones is on top of the world in his weight division, no doubt about it. He is considered the best P4P boxer at the moment. He has been unbeatable for a long time. He is challenging for the WBA heavyweight crown which is a major organisation in boxing.

Even though Ruiz is not the best heavyweight out there he still holds a heavyweight title which means something.

If Gurkan was going into the K-1 final Japan tournament in december then i'm sure we would talk it up as well.

How can you compare Gurkan's step up to the heavyweights to that of Roy Jones. Gurkan has fought Stan, Watt and asorted others, but even Gurkan would understand that it would be crazy to take on a world heavyweight champion at the peak of the peak of the career like Ruiz is.

Only few fighters on the face of this planet have the right to be mentioned in the same sentance as Roy Jones Jnr, and Gurkan is not one of them! Gurkan is one of the best kickboxers out there but c'mon, please you have to be joking!

Also when Gurkan does fight heavywheights, everyone within the kickboxing circle (Australia) does talk (just look at previous posts on the forum)!

RJJ is considered to be one of the best, if not the best pound for pound boxer ever. Right up there with Tzsyu, Oscar, Sugar Ray Robinson, Ali etc. You can't really say that about Gurkan but you can say that he has given his all to the sport of Kickboxing.

Gurkan fought someone on the tail end of there fight game.
