Entrance songs

Nothing buzzes me more than waiting for your favourite fighter to come to the ring, and hearing a great track that makes their entrance explosive.
Eg: Stan with "oh fortuna" gladiator music
Mirko Cro Cop with "Wild boys"
JWP with "Loose yourself" (thats mad btw, love that track)

and can't forget the one where Sam Greco had a fallout with Stan, and left the fitzroy stars, and fought Stan at the crowning with the White Snake track "here I go again on my own".
I've always contemplated what song I would play if I was a fighter entering the ring, probably Slayer would go down well, I guess I could come out charging to the ring so the other bloke thinks I am a loon! Which, in my case he is probably right.

Any fight entrance song favourites out there?

(btw, sorry folks for my repeated stupid posts lately, I'm livin in China for 3 months, and I get vewy bored at night)

I think the funniest walk out music is Evander Holyfield. He comes out to 'born again' Christian Melodies.. singing and happy - he's smiling and gets into it.. 'Glory.. Happy Joy' etc.. prior to him about to punch on with another guy! he he..

My favourites are :

JWP - Loose yourself.. the lyrical content suits well

OSCAR DE LA HOYA - The Queen megamix he had before the Vargas fight (and yes Jezze.. it included 'another one bites..')

PRINCE NASEEM - WAY before Croolyn Clan were huge.. he had his own re-mix of 'Be Faithful' with only females singing the melody

finally the most original-

ROY JONES JR. - Comes out to his OWN songs he has rapped on stage before a fight ! How tough..

I too love this topic it brings many to mind.
On a more local scale here are a few-

Evan Themalakis- The ketchup song
Fatih Hasan- Eye Of the Tiger (vs Daniel Shearing)
Greg Foley- Stuck in the middle with you

But who can ever forget Apollo Creed in Rocky 4 coming out to
'Living in America'.

And just a suggestion for the great- Ben Smullen. How appropriate it would be for Ben to come out to Dirty by Christina Aguluira. No disrespect to Ben (after all he is my fave fighter in Aus) but the whole 'to dirty to clean my act up', 'and throwin elbows' lines at the start of the song sum up Ben. His shabby beard and that wicked council workers vest. Wow Ben you have revolutionised the Thai fighting fashion world!

I like Ernesto Hoosts music. Its something from Surinam. I cant remember what its called but when i looked for it on Kazaa no one had it so i cant listen to it.

Hoost is a Surinamese Dutchman... just like other athletes such as Patrick Kluivert and Edgar Davids (the soccer stars).

His entrance music is Double R Kawina - Gron Tapu.

As an entrance song it's pretty hard for me to go past the oringinal "Eye of the Tiger"

JWP - Loose yourself, gets me pumped every time I see him walk out.

I also like the fact the some of the fighters use their national songs being Turkish, Greek, Thai etc. It's good to hear some quality overseas music.

Yep, it was a MC Hammer tune that I came out to,
Still have the tape! DJ Schiavello mixed it for me!
And I'd even use it again if I ever fought!
I think it was called "Here comes the Hammer" though?
As its on a tape with no cover I'm not real sure??
Anyway gotta go practice my break dance moves now :-)!
