People i want you all to know that stan did not have to take this FIGHT! $$$ yes he did it was his choice and he lost fair and square.Gurkan was the better fighter. But let me tell you all because i want the people to know STAN has had 9 OPERATIONS DONE ON HIS LEG! 2 KNEE RECONSTRUCTIONS! one done not that long before the fight. He had no sparring partners he was sparring with his brother for this fight for christ sakes. he dident take this fight seriously which is his own fault. MY point im trying to get a across DONT THINK GURKAN OZKAN IS A BETTER FIGHTER ALL UP THAN STAN GURKAN FOUGHT HIM AT THE RIGHT TIME TO WIN. IF THEY WERE BOTH AT THEIR PRIME I GAURANTEE EVERYONE STAN WOULD FINISH GURKAN WITH EASE

It's Ok to say that now TRUTH but at the end of the day Stan lost and Gurkan won, Stan should have prepared himself a little better but that is no excuse either.
In my books makes him look like a silly fighter for not putting the hard yards in (as gurkan did), I have followed Stan for a long time and a huge fan of his but that fight was so disappointing, people do silly things just for money and that’s all it was putting on a show for money, was the money that good for him to loose the respect of his fans, only Stan could tell us that!

Wow, the truth?! Thanks for the newsflash
i am a Stan fan but, come on don't make excuses for him. It is his fault and his flault alone that he was not prepared.
When you talk the talk, make sure you can walk the walk.

Hey Mr Truth - I know that sometimes the truth hurts - but the truth is Stan got his arse kicked.
I am also a long time Stan fan and used to train at Fiztroy way back -The truth is you never go into ANYTHING half cocked let alone against someone like Ozkan
The truth most probably is Stan thought hed make a quick buck - both in the ring and at tabcorp -
The truth is - I can smell 'Greek Revenge' later on in the year -

Guys,
I don't know how to explain really. This fight was something I really both wanted and didn't want.
I talk alot about Ozkan because for so long to me he was the most exciting fighter to watch coming out of Melbourne. I know his fight style and character is not to everyone's liking. But I don't think anyone can deny that it's hard to take your eyes off him from the second he becomes visible to the audience. Chewing his mouthgaurd, smacking himself, the slow walk out. The way he'll walk off while the ref is talking, then maybe come back and shove the other fighter to get a reaction.
Then when the bell rings, the guy used to move around like a thugish monster not thinking about anything except hurting with every shot, and just wanting to drop you in the opening seconds.
This last fight he was so different. He just looked so friggen amazing in there. Sticking and moving. Kick and scoot off. It was honestly great to see him fight like that.
The first thing Ozkan said to me when I stepped in the ring to photograph him with entourage (sp) was "What's wrong Paul, you look like you've just had a few rounds yourself". He was right, I felt rocked. I wasn't shocked that Gurkan won. Everyone understood the possibility and probable result should Gurkan connect clean anywhere on the head. But just the fact that Ozkan took this 'Stan will win by low kicks' and spun us on our heads.
I just didn't want to see anyone loose.
They are both legends. We're going to be talking about Stan as one of the sports ABSOLUTE greats of all time for decades.
But, also, I honestly don't think the surprises from Gurkan are going to stop any time soon.
I think Ozkan is very interested in giving us huge fights. That's why we're in shock every time a new fight is announced.
It's been an incredibly interesting 12 months.
What ever Stan decides to do, I'll be supporting him regardless.
But honestly, who would have thought that Ozkan would do what everyone was expecting Stan to do. Not in a million years for me.

makes you wonder what goes on behind the scenes! it just didnt look real to me! after dropping gurkan in the first, stan just pulled back and didnt do anything for the remainder of the fight. he didnt throw the low kicks and didnt block. please! and on top of this the fight was on centrebet. gurkan paying $2.50 and stan $1.50. makes you wonder.this fight will forever be known to me as the secret mystery fight! no one will ever no the truth but tarik, stan and or maybe gurkan!
Everything is a conspiracy.
