Don't really know enough about it? The international websites are garbage and extremly outdated.
The only decent source of info on the WKA n Australia is through Paul Grima.

i like the fact we have blood tests, its nice to know that our promoters that use us in their fight nights care about us, if some one have hep or any other type of disease they cannot get a fight in the wka.
guess that means they have to fight in another sanction.
thats my main concern,

No thats not true chocko.
In Vic any fighter on any show using any sanctioning body needs to have these tests, anything less is a health risk to all concerned. I can't see how any sanctioning body would like their name tarnished by improper medical procedures.

On a similar topis guys, how does ISKA rate up there these days?
My trainer is thinking of supporting some ISKA sanctioned shows over the coming months. Included in their rankings are people like JWP and I think Ozkan or Zambo (always get them 2 mixed up).

Sherman,
G'day mate hope all is good back in the old dart.
I was fortunate to fight on an ISKA show last year in Newcastle.
Rob Murdoch does a good job and runs a tight ship NSW. Keeping all politics outside of things mate I cant make comment on what I haven't seen or experienced first hand.

I have fought numerous times on both ISKA and WKA sanctioned shows.
Both ROB (ISKA) and Paul (WKA) are both doing the best they can do for the sport, everything is organised correctly. It has always been a pleasure to fight on either of these sanctioned events.
Betle: In regards to change, they are doing a good job as is, only be better for the sanctions if the NSW Boxing authority supported them rather than not.
I suppose the Web sites could be updated as ChrisQ stated.

I have fought on WMC shows and they require an annual medical certificate whereby as part of the medical the fighter must have a blood test.
Had mine done with Dr Lewis, his office / surgery is brilliant. Not sure where it is now, somewhere like Hurstville or Maroubra, I dunno I've been back in Pommy land too long ha ha!!
The wall is covered with pictures of him and all the great fighters past and present. Well worth a visit.

Man, I'll always have a soft sport for the WKA and ISKA, I grew up watching great fights sanctioned by both bodies, and some of my favourite fighters were WKA/ISKA champions, including the guys running things now in NSW, Robert Murdoch and Paul Grima, so much respect there. The thing is, sadly (imo), people don't care as much for kickboxing rules anymore, it's all either mod or full Thai rules. Shame really. Maybe they should do what the WMTA and IMF did over 10 years ago to form the then WMTC, now WMC, and form the one kickboxing sanctioning body... that'll never happen, but you asked for suggestions.
