These two are going for it at the world grand prix 2003 Saitama.
I think after watching Sapps two fights against Hoost, Mirko will not make the same mistake, and take Sapp out.
Then again, Sapp is being trained by Maurice Smith (I think) and he is known for pulling off upsets.
Any comments?

Also a rumour that Hunt is re-matching Hoost on the night.

I will have to go with Cro Cop, via the way of Kicks. Wasn't Sapp already training with Maurice Smith for the K1 Japan? I think this time around Sapp will have alot more arsenal, but personally i think that Cro Cop will be far too fast and explosive, slowly wearing him down. Although if Sapp gets a good shot on him then things could turn out completely different!

How many rounds are they fighting, Sapps fitness will also be a big factor

I think Sapp is far too big and strong for Mirko, I think it will be KO win for Sapp. When a guy is that much bigger and stronger than you, it doesn't require too much talent to win, just look at when he fought Hoost(both times), no talent, just swinging his big meathooks and with the size and weight of his arms it doesn't matter if your hands are up or not when he hits you. I hope Mirko does win though, he could run around the ring avoiding punches until Sapp wears himself out, then chop the hell out of his legs.

Sounds like the same game plan Cro-Crop used to beat Hunt.

With both fights that Ernesto had with Sapp, Ernesto did chop his legs and was winning! The problem is that he did not stick to that game plan and wanted to end the fight with his hands. I remember a comment that was made on the official K1 web site in regards to his fight with Sapp in the K1 Grand Prix, something along the lines of "He wanted to prove a point and knock Sapp out"! I don't really thing that Sapp could be knocked out that easy, unless he gets hit on one of the key spots on the face, (Temple, jaw). Sometimes the game plan of a fighter goes out the window when they are actully in the ring, and it turns into a brawl! Anyhow, the method of chopping away at Sapp's leg and keeping clear of his punches did work! So in one way Cro Cop could still use that game plan, but on the other hand Sapp could have learned from his mistake and fixed this weakness of his! It is a tough one too call, could go anyway?
