They didn't fight MT. They fought K-1 rules which is the way to fight for the big $$$. K-1 rules is a fair meeting point. Any rematch should be under the same rules. Zam is doing well under those rules. He is fighting in Japan under those rules. So I don't think he will hesitate to fight JWP under K-1 rules. That would be a better mainevent then Themalakis vs Nandex for the April show. But maybe they aren't available for that show.
alexey beat nazif fair an square in kickboxing rules an hes a full MT rules fighter ,an nazif had to win that to fight zam on the 17th . i think alexey should have a shot at JWP full MT rules . now that would be a fight .....
I would love to fight Zambidis again, only thing is it would have to be in Queensland, at least the judges up here know how to score. Been ripped off one to many times in Victoria and not to keen to go back and fight there in a hurry. Plus the money has to be right, this would be the biggest rematch in Australia and I would want what I think is fair.
I would rather fight Alexei in a Muay Thai fight then fight kickboxing rules. Alexei and all the Belarus are very strong and would be a very entertaining fight. I get a lot more enjoyment training and fighting if I can use all eight weapons instead of just punching and kicking.
I have a boxing fight with Mike Cope on the 13th of April on the Paul Briggs under card then might be fighting a Japanese opponent April 27th now Daniel has retired. Should be a busy year this year.

JWP you've made some fair comments. I remember seeing you fight @ Moorabin and the result of 'that' decision a couple of years ago.. then K1 Max I saw the the result of 'that' decision as well..
Smart move mate to get a 'home ground' advantage, about time you can call some shots! Reminds me of boxers trying to get a decision in Mexico.. you can't!!
I have one question for you!
I remember seeing an old fight against Chris Allen ( I think your first Tarik fight ).. was there ever talk or considerations of a rematch ? How did you feel about the stoppage ? I'm asking as I never really heard any talk after that fight.. I'm quite interested.
Anyway, good luck for the year mate and good work on the new site!
jwp looks like you have a big year ahead Zam, Alexi now these are the fights that people want to see.
I am shore that both will be sell outs.

Yeah ol' Melbourne town hasn't been the best hunting ground for JWP. Don't blame you for wanting the fight in QLD!
