For all these years we have seen at his best kicking but. Drawing huge crowds and taking the sport into bigger levels. His fanbase and greek people take up 70% of all people in attendance and to see him get masicared by a so called "slugger" makes me weep. I really do feel sorry for The Man and hope he doesnt feel deeply sorrowed.

If anyone who knows stan on a personall level, just let hit know that he doesnt have to prove anything no more. He doesnt have to say anything no more. He has done what no fighter can claim.

To be quite honest, I was the only Turk screaming in my seated area and I felt deserted. It wasnt Ozkan who brought the fans, it wasnt the rock star promoter tarik, it was Stan Longinidis resume that brought the massive attendance.

It wasnt Channel 10, it wasnt that old fag Bert Bewton, and it wasnt Tarik who could put so much feel for the sport last night. The aurora from stan was electryfying.

When you say the name Stan "The Man" to someone who has no idea about kickboxing, they say "oh yeah he the greek kickboxer? right!?". Stan and kickboxing are 1. I cannot believe money alone brought him back into the sport. He is a pure gentleman and just wanted the taste of it all once again.

Did you see his entrance? This guy has class. He look like MR Cool the way he raised his hand then ran down into the ring.. Money cant buy you flare, money cant buy you characater and money cant buy you a legend.

Stan your a one man army.

Janer - well said - especially from a Ozkan fan!! Very respectfull

I agree - Stan should now let go - he did his best and was a multiple world champ. He still is and always will be a champ in my eyes, and no one can take that away from him.

Stan - you are a legend, both inside and outside the ring - no one will hold the fight last night against you. It should not have happened. You will be remembered for the great things you have done for the sport in Australia and overseas - and the future as well.
Lets not forget - you gave us ZAM!!!! -
The sport could not have asked for a more dignified, rspected, professional and sincere ambassador.

Totally agree guys. Stan put kickboxing on the map in Australia, with his talent and charisma. He's the nicest character in and outside the ring, totally respectful. I remember his ever young face with a little mullett at the back.. and a bowe tie on at the front! With his ever used index finger claiming 'number one!' lol..

Stan you are still number one for Australian Kickboxing.. but as they say 'every dog has his day'..

I must also say Janer has earnt my respect again with his opening post.. top stuff!

Great Post Janer, It was very upsetting to see Stan finish his career at a lost, but would llike to thank him for his support and love & encouragement he has given myself and my fighters I have had in the past..... it was all to emotional for me for like a lot of us who do know him personally he is top person and cares about the sport.....Thank you Stan for the memories and helping build the sport to where it is today..like Janer said you do not have to say anything or prove anything you have done more than enough for the sport.....Wish you all the very best, Take care my friend..God Bless....

Memories last a life time. He won over so many fans not only for his style of fighting but for the man he is. Nobody in the fight game talks as well as him. And he is humble win or lose. Fighters should still look at him for the way he took the loss.
