After watching the rather punishing fight last night - I believe there should definetly NOT be a rematch!!! - Lets cut the bull**** out here guys, Stan was in it for the money - I can see no other reason!! - he was not fit, or conditioned to fight Ozkan last night,

Stan should retire with his head held high as an Ambassador to the sport, and for the achievements he made. Thats it!
Tarik - cut the money hungry fill the statium routine out - forget the rematch and match up Ozkan with some current solid up and comers, ie Kara - or some solid overseas opponents - I'd pay money for that, (dont forget to include Zam on the undercard - actually make Zam the Star attraction!! - so he can save the night again) -
but you wont see a cent coming your way for a rematch promo - and I definetly believe it will damage Sariks repuation if he tries to stage one.

I agree. If Tarik has any decency he won't try and bring Stan back. That was a shell of a champion out there.

Rematch definitly not. But maybe Stan doesn't want to go out like that. So they might bring some bum to give him a deserving exit.

Ozkan shouldn't have to rematch Stan. He did the unthinkable and beat him fare and square (not with a lucky hit) he proved he is the better fighter, no one can dispute this (not even me).
I still don't think that Gurkan can make it in the heavy weights as he is to small. I don't think that he will beat Watt again with USA rules(i didn't think he beat him the first time). He may beat one or two of the Australian K1 contenders but does anyone beleive he will beat the likes of Watt, Hunt, Graham, and if he does what about Hoost, Aerts, Le Banner, Sapp, Sefo.
He should fight in his weight and stay on top.

Mike - he has no hope against the heavyweights!

He went down that path and was smashed.
He will be very competitive in his own weight division - the contenders must now ask for the matches - plenty of good candidates out there and will be in for a hell of a fight.
Again, I state that Ozkan is a far better fighter because he is finally being trained properly.
GO THE FOX!!!

Hey he may give it a go cause that's just who he is. He like to push as far as he can. He won't threaten the K-1 stars. That's obvious. But he may give the oceania a shake come July. If he is though I prefer him doing it at his weight of about 83kg without the shoes. Nice and fit, better than last time at a beefed up 91kg.

I mean no disrespect to Gurkan, but you simply cannot say he proved he proved he is a better fighter. Stan is completely shot and had no business in there.. He has nothing left to give. Gurkan proved he is better than a washed up Stan and that's it. And therein lies the catch 22 of this silly spectacle. Gurkan wins because Stan IS washed up. If Stan won despite being over it, well still who cares? Take this from someone who loves Stan and has had the pleasure of meeting him and knowing him on some levels: that was the most painful fight to watch you can imagine. Seeing an idol look completely lost is horrible and the most unfortunate reality of the fight game. In retrospect this was not totally unexpected, some people thought Stan still had it but he simply doesn't, not even close. Sometimes the greats need this to force them out that door. Ali needed it, Chavez needed it etc. If Tarik even tries to enforce the rest of this deal, I will be apalled.

The question know is why did Stan sign a 3 fight deal? It might not be worth Tarik trying to get Stan into the ring again. I don't think he will pull a big crowd in after the fight with Ozkan. His fans proabably won't wanna see him go down like that again. But if Stan wants to go out as a winner than he may want a last fight.
