i wouldn't say that Gurkan is the best leg kicker. he was just smart and kept peppering the lead thigh and knee. He didn't do it with power kicks, but after a while 20 or 30 lighter kicks take there toll.
As for being rigged, did you see Stans thigh, it was 10 busted up.
