Congratulations to Gurkan for his excellent victory. He fought a clever fight thanks to Fyfield, and his fitness prevailed at the end. Stan was really gasping at the end. It wasn't the Stan of old of course, he is 37 having not fought in 2 yrs.

Good on both fighters for risking it and getting in the ring with each other.

I doubted Ozkan could win this but was more than happy to be proven wrong.

At last.. I saw a bit of the fight!

Channel 10 'Sports Tonight' showed a couple of excerps of the fight.. including the push & shove at the start and then the final knockdown.

Man I really wasn't expecting THAT finale - considering that everyone thought leg kicks would finish Ozkan.. not the other way around!

A mate called me who actually went and wasn't impressed with the ending.. but I know who he was going for!

Hoping everyone will leave their reports of the undercards too.. how did Zambidis go ?

"what you do is what you deserve"...

Remy, you gotta feel sorry for Stan. I really do man... I should of said my "sympathy" goes to stan. He is a legend who should of stayed retired. Did you see the pain in stans eyes when his bro stopped the fight?

Guys I personally felt sickened to see Stan go out like that. He is a inspiration to many of us and clearly has no business being in the ring anymore. He had nothing to offer. Nobody expected to see the Stan of old but what we saw was a completely shot legend. From what I read he is setup well outside the ring with business interests...Stan please make your mark there, you don't belong in the ring anymore.

Well guys first of all - congratulations Ozkan - great fight, well deserved victory - wish you all the best for the future - I believe Paul has made a massive difference to Ozkan - both inside and outside the ring -
I was deeply saddened when I saw how Stan fought yesterday - early on he rattled Ozkan a little but that was it - it was clear Stan was not in shape, didnt move around like he used to, he simply should not have fought! The outcome was even worse - I will admit I thought Stan would win - but in my mind I, like many others, was expecting to see at least a GLIMPSE of young Stan - sadly not to be -

I agree with Lex and John, Stan you can still hold your head up high - you will always be a champ - but the ring is no longer your domain- accept defeat gracefully and move on. You will always be respected for what you have done for kickboxing in Australia.

Other fights - Zam was his typically brilliant self - what the **** was "Mr Ethiopia - heavyweight division" thinking?? - Nick Stone - listen buddy - you are a brilliant trainer but lets get serious - did you honestly think your boy had a chance against the wrecking machine??

Great performance from Chris - the guy has some serious power behind him - Faddah or whatever his name is - was very dissapointing - seemed to have a cocky attitude which Chris quickly fixed up - great work Chris - always fun to watch, good value.

Well done Gurkan, you had a game plan and stuck to it. Congratulations. The Stan The Man,post fight speech was "all class", but at the end of the day their "must" be fire in the belly!

Fadi Haradda i think is in the wrong sport.

Give Ozkan credit for winning, but facts are this was like when Ali came back afer 2 years at near 40 and did nearly nothing in a stoppage loss to Trevor Berbick. That was no Stan The Man in there. It wasan old guy who looked uncomfortable the whole time.
