News is guy's, after Daniel Dawson stood up and challanged JWP to fight him and stated, Quote " i will knock him out in front of his home crowd" end quote, and JWP greatfully accepted, has now pulled out of the April fight, and further more, to the great loss to the Kickboxing/Muay thai fans has retired and will only concentrate on Boxing.
I have had the pleasure of knowing Daniel and wish him well in his boxing adventure, but i beg of him for everyone concearned, finish what you started Daniel, don't pick a fight then run away.

That's a huge loss to MT and Kickboxing.
I truely hope he re-considers.

beside the money is better in boxing then MT is there any other reason why THE ROCK isnt fighting MT now or JWP ????
if Dawson has pulled out, than we know who the better fighter is. is isn't like he has been retired for some time, this is all pretty sudden. I hope that the fight goes a head or it will go down as one of the fights that every body talks about but it never happened.
Of course is you can do well in boxing the money is better. Look at all the world champ kickboxers we have, they would be lucky to fight for $2000-$10000. But if you are world boxing champ you are going to be a millionare.

Dawson is a great MT fighter but you cant seriously say that he has a chance of being a world champion in boxing! There is no way that Dawson would get anywhere near some of the top boxers in his division.
I DIDN'T MEAN DAWSON WOULD MAKE IT. BUT THE MONEY IS ALOT BETTER SO WHY NOT GIVE IT A GO.

JWP is fighting boxing and Thaiboxing at the same time. He's boxing on the Briggs/Castro card. Maybe Danny can fight JWP on that card instead of Mike Cope?

It would prove he can get beat by JWP in both forms of fighting.

I dont think he has proven he can beat jwp under full muay thai rules. I seem to remember a loss to him in 99.<img src=icon_smile_big.gif border=0 align=middle>
Dawson will be back. He won't be a better boxer than kickboxer. So once he loses he will return like many have. Then maybe we can see the fight in Melbourne.

Why would it be in melb JWP is from QLD and dawson is from perth. it would be fought in QLD under full thai rules. theres no way tarik can get his grubby paws on that one and turn it into a kickboxing match.
Tarik won't turn it into a kickboxing match. If he did get that fight i guess he would use it to headline his QLD event he does every year. But I can still wish for it to be in Melbourne. I wanna see the best fights so I can be a little selfish if I want.
It would also be interesting to hear why Dawson doesn't want to be part of the K-1 max. With the biggest stars in the world competing, and the best purses in kickboxing, thought he would have been in it last year.

i think this sucks,jwp is on my favourites probably at #1,but i also had dawson up there aswell.not any more dawson,sure a change can be good,but damn this was a fight that had to happen.
as for them meeting in a boxing match,why would he,he d get beat bad,atleast he wouldnt let jwp beat him to easily in MT
