For Soren fans,

An update on Soren's latest fight in Thailand:

Live TV, Thailand, channel 7, yesterday.

Soren vs Thai opponent, based on our report Soren deserves a congratulations on winning what turned out to be an awesome war. The fight was stopped in the 4th due to a bad cut which apparently was firstly opened with a nice elbow late in the 2nd and then worked over a little more. Soren rated the Thai's body kicks and grappling, but was pretty focussed on his game plan which hadn't necessarily included the stoppage.

Soren's started 2007 with a huge bang, already having fought 4 fights for 3 wins and 1 (arguable) loss since arriving in Thailand and with a huge one still to come in Lumpinee stadium on March 27th. After such a cracking start to the year for Nugget's leading charge, the really good news is...

He'll be back to fight in Brisbane on April 28th for the next Evolution show and may well roll out some new tricks against Paul Smith (who might be well advised to bring a helmet to the bout).

Anyway, again, congratulations Soren on the latest win, can't wait to see you in Brisbane again.

Cheers

yes, it certainly sounds an initiation of fire for Paul.
I can imagine Soren would be a hit in thailand with his no-nonsense approach and fearless attacking gameplan.

Only thing he does not do well is to smile during the first few rounds (has Soren ever smiled?<img src=icon_smile_big.gif border=0 align=middle><img src=icon_smile_wink.gif border=0 align=middle>).

Great result and great experience at a premier venue. The television exposure is invaluable.

In reply to this, I just wanted to say I've seen Soren not only smile but have a bit of a chuckle at an opponent during a match, usually after the opponent has got a hit on Soren, only for Soren to laugh it off or smile to show it doesnt phase him. Cant wait to see Soren smash Paul on the next Evolution show! Paul is gonna have a tough fight, but good luck to both! GO HARD!
