Haven't seen it yet, but by the sounds of it Andy Ologun was apparently quite impressive, even getting a knockdown on Kohi. While there are a lot of decisions there, it sounded like an action packed event with a lot of knockdowns. Apparently Sato wrecked Tatsuji with knees in the final.
It sounds like Kraus was destroyed by Murat, who knocked him down twice in the first round and Buakaw was flawless (again) in victory.

I don't know, but they are awesome.
More people who saw the event are claiming that the event as a whole was very entertaining and that Sato was very impressive. Can't wait to get my hands on it.

I agree.
Knocking out Albert Kraus should be up there on every mans list of things that they want to achieve in their lifetime. I know it would be on JWP's.

I'm a little surprised to see those long Cargo pants allowed in the K1...after all, couldn't that provide some padding to the thigh/shins or prevent cutting of the skin?
LOL Bushi...who took the million bucks btw??

zdkbushido i think your a bit afraid that Zambidis can be next in Murats hit list!!!
and a new champion is in the making. To knock out Albert Kraus in the 1st round he must be something special.

I agree ...... but look at the shootboxers pants that are allowed
in the MAX.Shin pads are there for all to see.
Maybe we might see a pair of Levi 501's on the next event <img src=icon_smile_tongue.gif border=0 align=middle>
Good to see Sato back in form, his height and knees will cause anyone dramas.

As one of the final 8 last year, he gets an automatic spot in the Opening Round in April.

This was the K-1 World Max Japanese Tournament.
Which means Kohi will be back for the following.
K-1 World Max Open Qualifiers are in June.
K-1 World Max Finals are in September.

I am suprised that they made Kohi part of this event when he didn't need to qualify.Masato should have also been included in my book.
Sato vs Masato final would have rocked.

From what I have read, Masato's desire to train/fight seems to have diminished somewhat and as a result he is probably being given the cotton wool treatment by K1. Would have thought that he may have been involved in a Superfight here seeing as though he cruised through his Dynamite match.
Don't forget though, this is K1 and Kohi losing to a guy he was probably expected to walk through may be enough for them to take his spot away, but I doubt it.
Mind you, JWP and Jadamba Narantungalag never got asked back for the 06 Opening Round despite making the final 8 in 05.

i just watched the Kraus vs Direcki fight. The first down was Direcki's first punch landed, nice left hook but wasnt so much power as it was timing and Kraus bad defence. He got straight back up. The second down was a straight right that landed flush on the jaw. Kraus made the count but the ref called a KO. Kraus looked like he was about to cry. i really feel sorry for the guy. hasnt had the greatest time over the last couple of years. Direcki on the other hand still needs alot of hard training. Yeh he KO'd Kraus, but i think that most of the max fighters would have beaten him quite comfortably from what I saw.
