Great card JNI, and let me count...5, no 6 FTR fights (Humble only fights FTR).
No doubt Wendy's WMC title fight is main event but with the noise made about Jeff/Dylan, this could easily be.
Dave Hoy will be have his hands full against Flip.

Always great seeing Daniel Richards at the show; one of NSW's best technical MT fighters.

2 fighters from Boonchu must mean another Sydney appearance for JWP??

I was just thinking that we all know how respectful the Japanese are when foreign fighters come to their country. I mean the crowd are really appreciative.

I'm not suggesting that as Australians we aren't but maybe just reminding myself and us all that we can only benefit if we extend the same courtesy for the Japanese girls when she fights Wendy.

We all know that we will be cheering Wendy on like mad, but I hope no one thinks about booing the Japanese girl.

Danial Richards unfortunately has had to withdraw from this event but is replaced by Nathan Grant a young up and comer from Taipan Muay Thai Gym. Nathan has had only 3 fights but is willing to jump in against the more experienced Wynberg and has also agreed to fight him with elbows (big call Nathan).

ok, back on topic as JNI goes mental when people hijack his thread.

Dave Hoy vs Flip Street. I'd love a win for NSW but Flip is going to be one tough nut for him.

You could almost throw these 2 in with Jeff and Dylan and form a 4 man eliminator at a later show. Alternatively, Joel Fisher (from Bushi's fav gym) could be involved for a cracking multi-state battle.

Get ready, cause I know you're already pumped for tonight guys!! We got 4 FTR bouts, and aside from the much anticipated Llanes vs Resnekov match, we've got Wendy Miranda fighting for the WMC intercontinental title!!

Also another main-event worthy fight between Dave Hoy and Flip Street, and don't forget up and comer Nathan Grant showcasing his stuff against Nikolas Wynberg.

Damian Kelly vs Guy Irwin should be a cracker and the girls from JNI seem poised for a victory tonight. A great display of skill and entertainment will be presented tonight at the Hurstville Civic centre, get there early, you won't want to miss out!!!

Dylan Resnekov by decision...a fair decision..

According to Ecks, Jeff didn't fire in the first 3 rounds, cut Dylan with an elbow in the 4th, Dylan getting the win in the 5th..

Carly won, Daniel Richards lost...

John should have called this show "Rorts galore" instead of "No strings attached".

I was sickened and disgusted by Wendy's fight decision and the judges need to be officially counselled.

Cameron got the shaft end as well.

Still in shock.

There was something definitely in the catering on the judges tables.

Anyways, heres to my name, any heavies or super heavies out there that want to go FTR, give us a call because I'm sick and tired of taking breaks between fights.

Yesterday at about 1pm i almost pulled out of the fight, i was on the couch for about 3 days with some neck and back problems(possible slipped disk, couldnt walk or move), Nothing a few (multiple) hits of neurophene didnt fix).
Seems like adrenelin took that away!

Fight was good. we were both a careful of eachother, jeff has a unique style not as thai as im have foguht in the past, but its always great having a new experience and changing my game plan.

Hey guys,

firstly, great show run by JNI, very proffesional and some great bouts.

Fight of the night was definately Dave Hoy vs Flip Street, what a battle!! Both scored knockdowns before flip scored a KO as they both went for left hooks.

JNI's girl fought a japanese girl and man was she impressive, she basicalyl picked the japanese girl apart dominating and then losing a decision. Was bizarre !

There is no way JNI is involved in the judging, his girl got ripped off badly, dunno why people accuse him of it.

Jeff vs Dylan was a great fight, i lost my voice screaming. Jeff is the terminater, he just doesnt stop comming forwaard. He caught dylan with a great elbow cutting him, i saw a spurt of blood fly out literally, scared the **** outta me.

Dylan deserved the decision no doubt but Jeff was not in any way a pushover, both of the guys left eachother with some big lumps. People criticized Jeff for not being trained in thailand, well let me tell you his clinch and elbows are as good as anyone in australia. Dylan is a clinch demon and Jeff nuetralised all his attacks in clinch.

In the end Dylan was just a bit too tricky with his legs and got a well earned decision. Aftwards we got to meet Jeff, what a kewl guy.

Thanks for your support guys, Dylan has only had 7 fights and is continuing to get better every time, look forward to see what he can do next.

P.s we met JWP as well, majorly kewl guy.

On the other hand I know he will be p@ssed as hell about Wendy's fight so might give him a day or 2 to cool before calling. Very unfortunate as i know how hard he had her trained for this.

It was a great night! Flip and Hoy was as cracker!

Hoy knocking Flip with some big hand combos forcing Flip to beat the count and just when it looked like Hoy was starting to dominate he was cut and soon after he was in survival mode unable to see from a closed and bloody eye.

I know i'm going to put up in front of the firing squad for this, but I really think that Wendy didn't do enough to win that fight.

She landed some nice jabs and front kicks but was always on the backward step and it would end up in the clinch on the ropes with the japanese girl firing in short body shots (although they weren't huring Wendy) Wendy would answer with knee's, Noriko would return the knees until it was broken up and then they'd do it all over again.

So who's doing more you ask? Someone throwing rapid punches that are landing, as well as countering the knees thown at her?

Apart from that both fighters Noriko also landed a couple of big overhand right's that sent Wendy back a bit and Wendy with a couple of nice front kicks to the face, a big factor in the fight being one of them from Wendy landing nicely which saw the ref apply a standing 8 count. The jap team not so happy about this.

What I want to know is, if you feel it was a clear victory to Wendy, why where did she dominate?

Just give me 2 minutes to strap my bullet proof body suit on with a helmet :)

Rob Leonie didn't end up fighting on the night..

Carly Ringe wins via decision over Ali Gray..Missed out this one , sorry no recap guys.

Damian Kelly wins via decision over Guy irwin.. Damian was very impressive on the night, his height and reach advantage is clearly an advantage and one he knows how to capitalise on. Well done to Dylan, was a pleasure to watch and a very nice guy as well..

Sam Atie wins via decision over Cameron Nell. This decision should have gone the other way. Cameron did everything to win on the night even though it wasn't his best fight I had seen, he dominated the grapple and Sam didn't fire up till the last round.. Head up Cameron, yourself and your gym are a class act and took the decision well..

Chikita defeats Christine Kodrun via KO I think. Unfortunately did't get to see much of this either, however heard Chikita thoroughly dominated Christine. Well done to Chikita, a lovely young lady also..

A heavyweight bout between a fighter from Taipan and one from Bondi took place and last for approx 26 seconds I heard. Didn't go to see this fight and I'm not sure of their names however the heavyweight from Bondi apparently won through a well placed knee.

Jeff Llanes vs Dylan Resnekov was an entertaining fight for the crowd, a much anticipated bout due to the HHM's ( Human Hype Machines, jt, ecks and humble lol) with Dylan much deservedly coming out on top. Of the first three rounds I would have scored 2 in Dylans favour with one to Jeff. Dylan dictated the pace of the fight and Jeff simply didn't fire up. Dylan had some nice hands with some quick jabs and a few nice rights. Jeff barely through his trademark leg kicks throughout the whole fight and was mainly boxing or clinching with Dylan where both boys landed some nice knees and let go of some sweet elbows. Also Dylan landed some nice takedowns , and Jeff landing a couple also.

Fourth round Jeff came out firing and started to let things go, this was the Jeff we were used to seeing, and eventually cut Dylan with an elbow. Dylan has one hard head and was taking everything and the showmaship began with both fighters challenging eachother to "bring it on" with a big fat smile on their faces.

Fifth round more trading and this was a much more even round in my opinion , one that could've gone with way with both boys letting em go.

Well done to Dylan, he dictated the pace of the fight, chose his spots really well and displayed some nifty MT skills.
Llanes vs Resnekov II wouldn't be such a bad thing for NSW MT enthusiasts, definetley one I'd love to see happen again..

Unfortunately didn't get to see much of my boy Nathan Grants fight other than the first round, but Nathan took that one with a combination of punching and quite a few trademark "Taipan" elbows. Nikolas had some nice tricky hands also but the first round went to Nathan IMO. Decision to Nathan Grant.

Charlie Bechwaty came out blazing in the first round for his bout against John Galliger, and was landing some nice hard hits. Unfortunately also for this one only got to see the first round, however Charlie I think won by stoppage. I saw Galliger being carried backstage which led me to believe so. Hopefully Galliger isn't seriously injured..

Now for Wendys fight...
Wendy looked and seemed really focussed for her title fight all night, and it really showed in the ring. Wendy came out and dominated that first round, displaying her speed advantage over Noriko and thoroughly outworking her in all aspects. I scored this a 10-8 round, Noriko barely did anything at all. Second round same story with Noriko now starting to come forward however Wendy not taking a backward step, and throwing many knees in the grapple.

Next two rounds more the same story however Noriko now starting to work more, but only throwing some punches and knees whenever grappling. Wendy landing nice push kicks, some nice knees in the grapple, and some nice punches. Noriko was one stubborn girl and kept her head down coming forward, however Wendy being a counter fighter at times used this to her advantage as she continued to outwork Noriko in all areas. Noriko was now just resorting to body punches. Wendy might have been on the backfoot but kept her work rate up throwing a variety of punches, kicks and knees which obviously would show anyone that she was not affected by the confronting style of the Japanese girl..
Rounds 2,3 and 4 all to Wendy.
Fifth round more body punches by Noriko and Wendy landing some nice push kicks and kept throwing her knees in the grapple. Wendy landed one nice push kick to Norikos head that connected well and dropped Noriko for an 8 count. Wendys round 10-8

Being on the backfoot should only be a problem when not displaying any work rate what so ever. Hmmm if I remember correctly with Favuzzi's bout against Glen Sewell for the title, he was on the backfoot most of the fight, however Glens bullying punching technique didn't get him the win, because he didn't display the full arsenal of a MT fighter. Same with Noriko , she did basically what Sewell did throwing mainly punches and did some kneeing in the grapple which Wendy more than matched!!!

How on earth the judges came to the decision that Noriko won this fight I will never know and its a disgrace to have this bull**** apart of our sport. I am not biased, I have many times before disagreed with decision given to the JNI gym and to see this happen to a fighter or any athlete is disheartening!! There was not one single person I bumped into after the fight that didn't think the decision was a load of ****!! Judges really need to be disciplined because it was blatantly a wrong, dishonest decision and I'm sick of seeing this crap happen over and over again. Clean your act up!! Well done to Wendy, you fought an awesome fight, everyone on the night knew you won and did so with convincing fashion. Head up and keep moving forward..

Was in the locker room for Dave Hoy vs Flip Street fight however I heard it was a good fight with both men trading some nice blows. Perhaps Liam Res could recap this fight as I only saw the end.
Flip Street won via KO landing a nice left hook that followed through perfectly.

Sorry if I've made mistakes in my posts regarding decisions or if I've offended anyone. I speak only the truth and don't wish any wrong doing on anyones apart. If I've made mistakes inform me and I'll edit it.

Sorry also for the brief recap for some of those fights, didn't get to see all of them..

Cheers

The fight with Hoy vs Street was a great one, Hoy is one tough guy and never looked intimidated, but Street has to be one of the top guys in the country right now. In the first round Hoy ate an elbow knee combo but got back up. The second round he showed some awesome hands and knocked Flip down with a quick combo.

The third round saw Flip cut D.Hoy and Hoy came out swinging trying to finish it. They both threw left hooks and Flips musta landed first Koing Hoy flush.

Was an awesome fight with great technique.

Yeh false confidence my arse! Dude sometimes you dribble sh!t.

Jeff fought Flip in a very tough battle and went the distance and everyone thought that the fight could have gone either way. It was a hell of an exchange between the two and Jeff lost. There was no complaints from us because like everyone else we thought Flip fought awesome and were happy either way.

Dylan did what he had to do. Dylan fought a very good fight and tee'd off on Jeff with a convincing win. There was no complaints from us at all.

Rnd1 Dylan

Rnd2 Dylan

Rnd3 Dylan

Rnd4 (after I abused the F... out of Jeff and refused him water) was Jeff's.

Rnd5 Dylan.

Hats off and kudo's to him. He did seem like he wasn't himself as he mentioned he was on pain killers etc and I can understand how it saps it out of you.

In all fairness to him, Jeff was very lack lustre as well.

I can't really say what it was but he was flat. No workrate, throwing stupid punches and barely kicked ( which is his forte).

Dylan out did him in every department. Punching, kicking, countering, kneeing, and grappling.

He stepped up and took the fight and Nick Stone was a happy punter rubbing it in after the fight

Anyway, a rematch would seal the fate and display Dylans dominance even more if his performance was hampered by the pain last night and also display Jeffs array of skills if he friggin tunes into fight plan.

Very polite nice guy the rez's might I add.

Didn't spend much time with them but a few g'days etc.

Well done D rez.

To all interested and concerned parties that witnessed the controversial decision given to the Wendy Miranda Vs Noriko-T fight on Friday night, I am currently drafting a letter of complaint to Mr John Cockburn and the Excutive committee of Australia to have this decision reviewed. Myself along with Noriko's corner and 100"s of others strongly believe that this decision has been very unfair.
1.To Wendy
2.To Noriko-T
3.To the trainers
4.To the whole Muay Thai community
5.To the fans
I am demanding an explanation on how the judges awarded the decision in Noriko's favour.

Loudest part of the night was the sounds of everyones jaws hitting the floor when the decision of Wendy and Noriko Tsunoda was called.

Thanks for the night John!

It seems to be an age old problem with the fight game but the first time I have heard a home town decision being disputed thus it must have been wrong!

If Im not wrong and although it will cost JNI another airfare and purse it still makes the word rematch sound all the much sweeter!

Would just like to say a big thank you to JNI for putting us on your show and looking after us so well. I thought Flip fought the best I have ever seen him that night and scored a awesome KO of Dave Hoy. Guy "Crickey" Irwin was too keen looking for a ko instead of relaxing and playing the game but learnt alot from the fight. Ali Grey preformed amazing against Carly, this two girls stood toe to toe for 3 rounds opening kicking the night off to a great start.
I feel for Wendy, I only watched round three but she totally dominatated her opponent the entire round and from what everyone else said was like that the entire fight. I watched as they announced the winner and everyone was stunned when the Japanese girls hand was raised. Even the Japanese looked at each other to say "what the" (in Japanese of course). Dont worry Wendy, hold your head up high, your a warrior and you know who really won.
Thanks again JNI, cant wait till next time .

Have to agree JWP, Flip fought awesome. He seemed very focussed and was entertaining seeing him perform the traditional JWP smirk and smile as the opponent tries a technique. Actually it was entertaining as I did catch some trash talk in the ring between the two lol.

When he cut Hoy, Flip was in the neutral corner that the doctor was in and he stared at hoy's cut as he moved to the opposite neutral corner.

Was good smack talk and great finish.

His front push kicks were awesome and very "thai" like.

Spada,
I have a bit of info on Yoddacha as we were thinking of putting him on a JNI show last year. He is a top fighter and was matched years ago with Foley but I don't believe it happened. I don't think too many here who could mix it with him (but as you know the Thais sometimes don't fight as well here when it isn't hot!)

He in 30yrs old, fights at 67kgs and has a reported record of 125 fights for 120 wins, 2 losses. (note this is a little dated and from Thai sources at Sityodtong in Thailand)...I just looked up his profile and found the following (though I think a bit dated);

- WPKC World Champion

- WPKL World Champion

- Winner KING CUP THAILAND '98, '99, '00, '01

- Winner to KickBoxingSuperstar Milan '04

- Prestige Fight to King of The Ring Venetia '04

Plus triple Lumpini champion, trained with him when he was 16 years old at Sityodtong when the top fighter at the camp at the time was Nuantaranee who now trains Masato, also former gym mate of Chatchi and Depitak all Lumpinin champions and he has had way over the amount of fights Voice has said, he has beaten some of the best fighters in Thailand and from Europe including Rayan Simson, he was supposed to fight Foley but he pulled out, so he fought Brendan "Chook" Ash and stopped him in one round with a roundkick to the head on an ISKA show promoted by JNI some years ago no knees or elbows for that one, he is the real deal and has huge legs for 67kg he can kick like a mule

Kicks like a muel is an understatement. Has a body like it is chiseled out of granite.

Very tough guy.

And yep Foley pulled out (whats new) and the poor bugger that stepped up only accepted kb rules with shin pads.

ONE KICK, through his gloves burst his ear drum and the fight was over.

Absolute machine!

Foley doing another " pull out " might have saved him from being Koed

Was thinking he was a former Lumpinee champ, and he will give F16 a rough time.

At 67 kgs,it would be good to see him take on a couple more of our name fighters.

To all interested and concerned parties the State Representative of the WMC Mr Tony Favuzzi has been very helpfull and co-operative with guiding me through the correct channels on how to insure that my protest of the Wendy Miranda Vs Noriko-T bout be considered for a prompt responce by the World Judging Panel in Bangkok Thailand. Mr Stephan Fox has also been very concerned with the situation and keeping me up to date on it's progress through the proper channels and to determine if the decision was incorrect to insure that it will not happen again.

I would like to take a moment in thanking Nugget for having the time and patience in viewing and commenting on the Wendy Miranda Vs Noriko-T fight. I sent Nugget a DVD of the fight approximately a week ago as I believe Nugget to be one of Australia's leading authorities on Muay Thai. Nugget has not trained any girls but strongly believes it takes a special girl to step into the Muay Thai ring.
His comments were, without a doubt in my mind whatsoever Miss Wendy Miranda has clearly won the fight.

Dimslim:
"Dylan is not a proper thai fighter.. He had soo much opportunities to finish that guy he fought on the Explosion show with elbows dylan throwing about 20 eblows and only 5 landing with no major damage that caused cuts.. But Jeff knows how to use his elbows very well and doesnt waste many shots when it comes down to elbows. This will b another mackinnon vs Carnage fight with Dylan beeing Mackinnon and Jeff cutting him up and teaching him bout elbows like carnage did to mackinnon.. Jeff teach him how to fight thai style :)"

Dimslim:

"How could u say that his elbows r good u must not knw anything bout MUAY THAI .. this is not KICKBOXING and Dylan will learn in time.."

LOL cant wait to see you fight. Sure i am gonna learn a "lesson" in elbows. What weight are you?

Jeff would never say such stupid things, HUmble either, because they are real fighters and they know what its like to be in the ring, lose, win etc. You'd never hear youre coach Tony say such things coz again, he is a real fighter and he knows that silly things like what you said have a commeuppence.

I thought we all respected people more in a forum environment when they openly display who they are? That way they are accountable for their comments and can be called upon to back up what they say.

Wendy vs Norika title fight...
OMG, what a shocker. I just watched the fight on DVD. I counted 5 kicks from the Japanese in 5 rounds (she was simply boxing and grappling).
Both girls neutralised each others' grappling.
Boxing both were about square with Noriko throwing more but Wendy landing sharper hits.
The big difference was in the kicks. Wendy's push kicks scored around 15 times including one lovely kick under the chin scoring a knock down that lifted the Japanese off the ground and spun her. She also kick well to the front and rear thigh.

In short, the judges must have been smoking pot to have arrived at that decision.

To see the faces of the Japanese corner when they announced the result was comical; they couldn't believe it, especially away from home.

If the WMC can reverse Angie Parr's result then this should be a no-brainer.
