Message from Alex;

Permanent Workshop on the Fighting Arts
presents
HANUMAN INTERNATIONAL TRADITIONAL MUAY THAI
with Glen Hawman

Muay Thai…
And you immediately think of some gory and bloody ring fight…
Well, think again!
Traditional Muay Thai training is focused on absolute relaxation and complete self control. On speed and grace. On beauty. Certainly, its techniques are rightfully considered the most efficient and lethal form of strikes that you can apply to any confrontation (and therefore on the ring as well), but the beautiful paradox of this art is that the fastest way to achieve that power is through a relaxed and peaceful, although extremely intense, form of training.
So, interested in trying a different approach to martial arts?
Tired of testosterone-oriented training?
Or maybe you just want to get fit, and real quick…?

Try it FOR FREE!!!
SUNDAY, 21st of January 2007
15.30 – 18.00
Centennial Park
(meeting point: 15.15 at the Centennial Park Cafeteria
– Centennial Park, Parkes Drive, Paddington Gates -)
Just bring a pair of shorts and a T-shirt… ;)

For info call Alex 0405 333 828

Hi Trent, this may explain abit about Glen;

With Muay Thai, Glen trains mainly under Paul Pearson (Hanuman gym) in County Durham (Northeast England) and has so for the past 20 years, he's trained under the likes of Master Bob (Sudsavaart), Master Woody (Chinawut Sirisompan), Sean Dooney (Januenmong camp) and others associated with the "Kru muaythai association and the association institute of thai martial arts"
http://www.thaimartialarts.org/members.html
He's listed as Khan 11 here however this record is 8 yrs old.

With Silat (Minangkabau Harimau), he's trained under Guru Richard Crabbe De Bordes for 10 years and he's a qualifed instructor in this system, ranked 1st dan black, he does so at the Yorkshire Silat Academy
http://www.de-bordesfoundation.com/chart.htm

These days he concentrates on the muaythai/boran more and prefers to keep his Silat instructorship exclusive. He is also a yoga instructor.
