We are desperately seeking fighters who will fight Nathan" Carnage" Corbett. He is the current WMC lightheavy weight Australian Champion(79-83kg). His fight record is 15w 1L 11ko's. He fights full muay thai rules and will also fight without elbow's(no kickboxing)
If you have a fighter willing to fight please contact richard walsh of Boonchu gym at richardwalsh72@hotmail.com

Just a question. Is Carnage going to rematch Paul Slowinski? Or is Paul to Heavy now. What about Nick Kara?

paul has now moved up to heavyweight and is now fighting k1. Nick Kara would be an ideal match with or without elbows.
Who can make this fight happen?

You would probably have to contact Bryce Birstwhistle(Kara's Trainer). You could probably contact him at the malvern martial arts centre sometime. The phone number is (03)9822 7951. I'd love to see the fight happen, so Good luck!

I would love to see Tarik put someone like Corbett on his card. If he performs he would be a real crowd pleaser and he has a good record. Its time he was really tested and what better time to do it then on Tariks next card.

I am not bagging you Koshy, but what do you mean by testing Corbett. He has been tested, he ko'd Scott Bannon. You test yourself by the fighters you fight, not by the promotions you fight on.
Tariks show may be the one of the best promo's around but that doesn't mean that the fighters are the best.

Well said Mick, he has fought some great fighters. True about Tarik's shows too. I think he also needs some fresh faces on his cards, not the same guys fighting most of the time.<img src=icon_smile_sleepy.gif border=0 align=middle>

but it would be good to Carnage fight on Tariks show, because it would get him on tv and get him the exposure that he deserves.
Lets face it if you don't get on tv how do you get new fans.
I am a fan of corbetts but only get to follow is work through the mags. Great guy but, i had the privlege to meet him last November in Darwin.

I think you guys mis-understood my post. Carnage as it has been said lacks any real publicity and so does not create a huge amount of interest for alot of viewers outside of Queensland. If he could fight some top fighters on Tariks card he would be able to gain the exposure he needs to command top billing and headline most shows in Australia. No one said he has to fight the same fighters that Tarik had on his shows but he could fight some of the bigger names around Australia that he hasn't fought like the McKinnon boys, a rematch with Slowinski, Kara or numerous other fighters in his weight division. I know that he beat Scott Bannon but wasn't Scott like three divisions lighter when he fought Carnage? He is a top fighter but in my opion he has not had enough fights to say he has truly been 'tested'. To be the best you have to fight the best and Nathan still has alot of guys out there to fight before he becomes the best in his chosen weight division.

Hey guy's thanks for giving us some ideas for Carnage. Ray Matsamura is currently chasing some of those names for him to fight( i think Kara V Carnage could be on the cards for the Parr/Dawson undercard) I spoke with Nathan tonight and it looks as if he will be going back to Japan after that for a fight on the 1st June. I have spoken to Tarik and he will keep him in mind for his next promotion, so hopefully you sports mad Victorians will see Carnage first hand in Melbourne.
Just as a matter of interest for KOSHY, Carnage actually weighed lighter by about 1.5kgs than Scott Bannon for their Super middleweight fight!!!
Nathan is a very nice bloke outside of the ring, he has a strong training ethic and is alway's wanting to learn more. He has a Karate Background, loves Muay Thai but also loves the shootboxing. He is very exciting to watch and it is a shame he doesn't get more coverage on tv. Hopefully all that will start to change, and everyone will get to see the CARNAGE in full destructive mode.
Once again thanks everyone
