Hi guys,

(1) I know it isn't our business but out of total curiosity I'm interested on the purse for this fight in Feb. Will Stan be receiving a higher percentage due to his public popularity / brand name - such as 60-70%.. or will it be 50 - 50.. or is there a winning incentive. I know pro boxing usually have an agreed amount which is disclosed to the media way before a fight.. what will be the case here ?

(2) Now it is on P.P.V and it appears some are chosing to watch @ home instead.. will there be an official 'weigh - in' us fans can check out to see the fighters.. such as @ All Star Cafe prior to the fight / take some photos etc ?

Thanks for any answers..

Hamish

Well - this answers my questions! Straight from the horse's mouth as they say.. this is from Tarik's new site :

Solak Decides: IT'S A BOUNTY MATCH!$

Tarik Solak yesterday declared the Stan Longinidis vs Gurkan Ozkan grudge match an official BOUNTY MATCH as he offered $100,000 to the man who scores a knockout! When asked whether the knockout had to be scored within the first four rounds, Solak said, "No, any time in the fight. Whoever scored the KO wins the fight."

I don't believe this for a second. It sounds like hype, like the "million dollar" bet betwen Ozkan and Tsakanos. I know for a fact Stan is receiving a six figure purse for for ths fight, if this "bounty" is true it would men he is getting anothe 100,000 to put his purse over 200,000 if he KO's Ozkan!!!!!! Hard to believe. Plus I know Stan wouldn't come back to figt for no guarantee purse. Common sense.
