The next show is going ahead early December 2006 - how late is too late? We are thinking either the 9th or 16th but was wondering what the MT fans think about a show this close to New Year and Christmas Parties....

IMHO you wouldn't want to be any later than the 9th, even bring it in to the 2nd if possible.

There are the die hard fans that will always be there, same as BF, but if you're trying to draw on a new crowd, MHO is that people would be more into the festive season than go to a show...

Either way, i'll be there..<img src=icon_smile_tongue.gif border=0 align=middle>

Make it as early as possible in December or even late November. It is the start of the silly season.

There are two shows in Melbourne in the last week of November so, i wanted to try and keep a couple of weeks between them and our next show.

Not too keen on the December month but February / March 2007 seems too long away.

Hi Karen, I think your pushing things for time. I would try not to go any later than the 9th. Early Febuary is not that far and if its the first show back after the Christmas break you should get a sell out crowd because the fans are suffering from withdrawals by then.
If it was me I would wait till next year, remember the closer you get to Christmas the less money people have.

agree'd nothing after the 9th. people are saving their bucks for xmas, i dont think folk are as willing to part with their cash at that time of year. also the boys want to wind down for the year by then. early next year would seen a better time to kick it off again.

in saying that i hope that the current promoters down can formulate some tentative dates for next years shows by the end of this year. there are now 3 shows on next weekend, on the 13th 14th & 15th here in melbourne.
