Can anyone tell me more about Daniel Paterson?

sityodtong
05-10-2006, 08:24 AM
Daniel was an ex-qld fighter who moved to Melbourne about 8-9 months ago. He has had around 16 fights (about 10 wins - from memory). He hasn't fought under our gym yet. He was scheduled to fight a month or so ago in Darwin but injured himself so this will be his first fight with Jeab.

The fight between Charlie Bechwaty and Daniel Smyrk will not be happening now due to Charlie Bechwaty not being man enough to answer or return my calls and inform me he has double booked himself on another show within the same week, this I know because I have the poster with Charlie on it. Seeing that he had committed to my show after my last show on 25th August is piss poor. All he had to do was tell me he doesn't want to fight and he has decided to fight on another show. This is so unprofessional and coming from people that claim they are professional is quite appauling to say the least.
What I do not understand is that Charlie had fought on my last show and had conducted himself accordingly. A similiar situation had happened on a Jabout show but he had fought on mine later with no hickups. There are no excuses for not being able to make a phone call and you knew this a while back as your photo was printed on the other promotion poster.

OOOPSSS, some one has pissed of the Promoter from hell...

Humble what does it mean when you say you are not the FOB Fatha??? If you keep training you might get to be as good as him... You know, get to go to NZ and fight on the Ociania K1 show on short notice and win....

This is just my HUMBLE opinion....

If you say you are going to fight on a show you stand by your word...

Hard luck JNI, you are one of the better promoters in the state and have always had the good of the sport at heart... Would have been a good match.... Oh well...

Hey Mong 1
Thanks for your kind words, as I said earlier it only takes a phone call.
I have not and will not ever force anyone to fight on my shows so why is there people out there that pull out of shows but don't even tell the Promoter.
If you read on a earlier thread it sounds like someone has mistaken Wesam as the Fob Father, that is why Wesam said he is not the Fob Father, thats all.

Well confusion every where I know for a fact that he is fighting on Mark Hunts show November 4th Bonnyrigg that was always going to happen since he trains out of Mark Hunts gym... I have been told he is going to Cambodia to fight after Marks show...
Well Mark show was meant to be in September and has been changed to November probably why he decided not to fight on your show..(because he trains at Mark Hunts gym).
Communication goes along way if you have double booked...

Unfortunately today at around midday I received a phone call from a very good friend of mine and also Promoter that one of the main events fighter's opponent pulled out, his name is Charlie Bechwaty and of course he had an excuse but was only able to tell him on the day of the event.
This persons committment to the Promoter/Fighter is becoming quite questionable.
What should happen?

John Ioannou

He should be thrown in the ring and forced to fight. Probably got a hang over or a vd. Maybe promoters should just not put him on there fights. Yup, definatley the vd.

This is going to be another CRACKER of a show, can't wait.

Scott Archer Vs Wesam Eldahabi or Terry Rippey on your April show 2007 will be a good match up.

Scott has not been in the ring for three years, however will be ready to compete against some of the best in his weight division. As he is still currently undefeated.

Scott will frequent often on JNI shows next year, as looking for a bing return to the ring and then going all the way.

Scotty Cseszko got robbed! He clearly beat Jeff Llanes. Gave him an 8 count in the 3rd round, then Jeff got saved by the bell... apparently Jeff even apologised to Scotty for the decision.

CRAP!

Congratulations Scott anyhow, on a great fight.

Bondi Muay Thai
11-11-2006, 10:04 AM
Didn't see the fight however an 8 count over 4 rounds doesn't automatically win you the fight. Would like to see the dvd. If Jeff won the other 3, he still wins the fight on points 38 to 37. Knees score higher than punches too! Like I said didn't see just informing you on how it may have been scored. Sounds like a good fight. Maybe a rematch 5 x 2's with elbows will sort it out. Would be nice to see.

WELL DONE WESAM ELDAHABI! YOU DID REALLY WELL MATE!

Does anyone know the weight of the girls fights

ECKS
11-11-2006, 11:15 AM
As Bondi said a knock down isn't gonna simply win you a fight. Jeff outscored all four rounds (except for the 3rd in which he got knocked down, and if WMC rules allow draw rounds that clearly was one because Jeff simply had it before being dropped). Scott had a really good fight and landed some nice punches but thats about it, he didn't fight the complete fight Jeff did. Jeff landed alot more kicks and landed punches of his own and when they did grapple, got the better of it.

Got saved by the bell???
After getting dropped he got up and took his 8 count on the chin, and he was fine. I'm pretty sure the fight continued a little after that but IF I'm wrong, HOW does getting saved by the bell discredit you from winning all other rounds?

It was a good, entertaining and tought fight by both fellas, and I'm pretty sure both Scott and Jeff wouldn't mind going at it again to put aside any "uncertainties".

It aint about how hard you can hit, it's about how hard you can get hit and keep moving forward!

From what I remember and feel this morning lol, it was a war. I remember the crowd being really loud and pumped and many said to me they enjoyed that fight the most that night.

From that and the exchanges is what I base my comments on but probably best left to the public to comment on it.

I have to say, was an honour fighting someone with so much experience and that tough. Nice to exchange a chat with him too after the fight.

Now, wheres my ice packs :)

I may not be the best person to comment on the Terry vs Wesam fight as people may think I am biased but in between losing my brain in excitement and anxiety and screaming my lungs out, here's what I remember.

Loved the stare down. Rippey looked the goods and in shape and so did my brother who lost weight for the fight coming down from 104 to 97 on the night.

DING DING!

There was no respect from the word go. Rippey with his traditional big wind up leg kicks and Wesam countering with the checks and front push kicks scoring a couple of downs with those push kicks. Wesam looking amped and chased Rippey landing some nice rights. If I remember there were a few tangles in the grapple to spins and take downs, both boys falling on each other. Wesam also got an inside leg kick/sweep.

Good strong first round, good exchanges and I'd say Wesams round.

Second round was hammer and tongs again. Both boys exchanged but Terry seemed to realise that his kicks weren't working as Wesam was checking them or using the front kick and landing some nice leg kicks of his own. He then turned to some nice hand work which landed square on Wesam but Wesam seemed to take them. Had him back peddling but then out of no where he'd fire back again and the exchanges would take place. Wesam also started throwing head kicks which mostly were caught on the guard of Rippey but you could still see were penetrating through. Rippey kneed Wesam twice whilst on the canvas after a slip which caused him to have a warning.

If I remember correctly Wesam was amped and raised his arm after the second round in cheer and the crowd erupted!

Third round was a war again. Rippey dominating with clean straight through punches which were also answered with Wesam throwing big right crosses and some uppercuts. The uppercuts would go through but the crosses largely met his guard, however you could see how hard he was throwing them by Terry being forced back from them.
Once again not a 100 percent sure if it was this round or the one before but after slipping again from the first time, Rippey attempted to kick Wesam while on the canvas which resulted in a point being deducted.

Awesome round and Wesam later told me he forgot it was 4 rounds and went a little harder than he should of. Also some nice leg kicks, rib kicks and head kicks from Wesam.

Fourth pretty much the same as the third. Rippey kept firing through with the punches which hit Wesam cleanly but to the ooohs and aaahhs and shock of the crowd, Wesam took them all and kept firing back.

Awesome fight, war, battle, whatever you want to call it. It was insane and the crowd showed their appreciation.

I stand to be corrected if I was wrong in my interpretation of the fight as I was so emotionally driven.

It aint about how hard you can hit, it's about how hard you can get hit and keep moving forward!

Wesam V Terry was the most entertaining fight of the night they went hard for the full four rounds and the crowd was appreciative, a very brutal fight. The Daniel Richards fight was the second most entertaining fight also awesome to watch.

Just wanted to thank JNI for having us on the show and giving us the opportunity to fight one of his boys for Terry's second fight of his comeback...

Well done to Wesam for the win and I agree that it was the fight of the night...

What I enjoyed the most was how we all from both camps were able to enjoy each others company after the bout as true friends... The sport and the spirit in which the bouts are fought are what needs to be put first well done on a great night John and Wesam..

John Great Show all round, all our supporters that came down thoroughly enjoyed the show.

From the fights I sore they were all great matchups and crowd pleasers.

Well Done to all 108 Supalek fighters, Tash did well jumping in there for the first time and is keen for another already.

Jeremy second fight and 2nd stoppage, well done.

Daniel Richards, I thoroughly enjoyed this fight, Dan executed all of his techniques precisely and with great technique. His opponent put in a great effort also. WATCH out for Dan and the SUPALEK team in 2007, all fighters looking for some big matchups.
