you guys have go to read Matt B.'s threads about Ozkan. Absolutely correct to a T. For die hard fans like Janer and Qupncy Matt has really briefed exactly what you guys are trying to promote. Here is what he wrote:
Thread 1:
---------
Got to say that I am a fan of Gurkan. Yet there are many fighters who train and fight hard and are quite prepared to take on strong challenges.
Gurkans auror of invincibility was destroyed when he lost to Ian Jacobs. After that there appeared to be a simple formula to beating The Turkish Tiger. Ambrose made it look easy, everyone was shocked with the fight against Warren Elson and after Gurkan injured his neck againt a Thai fighter at the Crown I thaught we might have seen the end of Gurkan. Despit this Gurkan has reinvented himself under different trainers and his heart has carried him a long way back towards his former status he enjoyed when he thumped fighters like Changpeuk. Gurkan deserves all his praise and success but is not the only fighter working hard.
Thread 2:
---------
I would love to see Gurkan smash Mundine but realisticly it is never going to happen. Briggs exposed Ozcans limited boxing skills in their boxing match and proved that his brawling style will not bring him success against world standard pro boxers. Gurkans success in kickboxing is amazing for a ham and egg style bruiser and is a result of his hard work, dedication and fighting spirit. Gurkans 'Rocky style kickboxing persona' is what excites crowds and inspires people when the underdog defeats a fighter like Adam Watt. However will not push the champ as far as defeating boxers the caliber of Mundine or Briggs.
Well Said Matt. Gurkan is a curageous fighter but not technically gifted. You should write a biography. You arent BIASED! :)
