gees, the last 7 topics have involved MR Ozkan. Love him or hate him, he surely puts asses on seats! And I bet most of us in this forum would suffer from arthritis by the time we finish our threads on ozkan... lol! :)

too right janer he's the only fighter out there willing to take any challenge, heart of a lion and always gives his all for his loyal fans whether injured or not! go buddy for feb 17!!!
Both of you are right on the money. Like him or not this forum proves that Gurkan is probally the most popular fighter in oz.
Got to say that I am a fan of Gurkan. Yet there are many fighters who train and fight hard and are quite prepared to take on strong challenges. I know that Sam Soliman has never side stepped a challenge and heared rumours that his management are trying to get Bernard Hopkins to make a voluntary title defence against the Ponyboy.
Gurkans auror of invincibility was destroyed when he lost to Ian Jacobs. After that there appeared to be a simple formula to beating The Turkish Tiger. Ambrose made it look easy, everyone was shocked with the fight against Warren Elson and after Gurkan injured his neck againt a Thai fighter at the Crown I thaught we might have seen the end of Gurkan. Despit this Gurkan has reinvented himself under different trainers and his heart has carried him a long way back towards his former status he enjoyed when he thumped fighters like Changpeuk. Gurkan deserves all his praise and success but is not the only fighter working hard.

I dont know many prob HALFORD,MCKINNON OR SLOWINSKI MAYBE DANNY MASKACHEF. i dont really follow supermiddle or heavyweight fighters that much. all the best fighters in aust are either welter or middleweight. all the above would be good hard fights it could go either way.

forget maskashef but the other three u mentioned havent offered a fight what so ever. it would be a bad career move for slowinski and as for hallford???he's better now isnt he? mckinnons bring on the both of them on the same night maybe a 8 man tourno both on either side of the draw so they could both get a battering from the machine!

honestly slowinski would smash ozkan. slowinski is a thai fighter not a kickboxer! he doesnt need to challenge ozkan everyone knows paul is better. paul has had over 100 fights and only lost 2 or 3 hes fought in thailand several times and never lost there and in europe. paul is more experinced, technicly gifted , stronger and alo younger and has also never been KOd. so why should he want to challenge ozkan cuz we say so!!! slowinski going for the K1 soon and when he wins that will be something ozkan hasnt and never will achieve. cuz paul doesnt handpick his opponents.

I know a lot of amateur boxers from the former Soviet union used to have many many amateur fights. I saw a russian guy fighting in Melbourne a couple of years ago that had over 200 before starting his pro career, but it's kind of odd for western kickboxers.
I'm not saying I don't believe it about Paul, just am surprised that's all.

I have to agree with Sethridge here. Paul would smash Ozkan. He is in another class. However, I dont think Paul has had 100 fights. I think it is closer to around 40-50.
In regards to another thread, Mundine is also out of Ozkans league-theres a lot of differnece between these two fighters. They are also on different levels.
