Hi all,

Can someone please provide the details for Australian Boxing Council, or point me in the right direction for details on getting a boxing trainer's certificate. I have a few friends finishing their PT course that want to teach boxing as well. I though you might be able to assist.

Thank you.

Thanks Chris,

I have left messages with both Aus Boxing and Boxing NSW, so fingers crossed now.

Good to see personal trainers that want to learn some boxing to pass on. Not like these personal trainers that think they no what they're talkin about and can't even hold pads properly, let alone punch. I don't see the need for a certificate to teach boxing(if ya only teaching pt clients). Just spend some time in a boxing gym!

Night Stalker,
As someone who runs a PT business it's all a part of proper accreditation process you need that bit of paper to get the right insurance coverage, god help you if something happens and your not covered for it.

Night Stalker,

Precisely the point my friend.

If it wasn't for my influence, they were going to "presume" that they would know how to hold pads and start running boxing boxing classes.

I am really bothered by Ptrainers who come straight out of college and "presume" that they are boxing coaches/fitness superstars.

These people have no Trench Education. Trench education is what all of you guys have gone through to be where you are. Sure, most of you may have gone to college/done a short course to complete the formalities of your careers as boxing/kickboxing/muay thai trainers, but Ptrainers who have no experience should really look at doing some boxing/kickboxing before they run their own classes...
