approxametly 60 million Turkish Fans tuned into to Gurkans farewell fight in Istanbul last night and many other millions overseas as Gurkan won in a war which would be best described as not a kickboxing fight but a street fight in which Gurkan made his Tunishian hardnut opponent Mohammed look like a Tomato, never seen an opponent so badly brused up with blood streaming down his face in which Gurkan had neally lost the fight but he kept his cool with his die hard Thousands of fans in the stadium cheering their natinal hero on.
After the fight Tarik Solak gave a speech saying Gurkan Ozkan has broken a record in World Kickboxing fighting 4 times in less the 2 months on a proffessinal status, never accomplished in Kickboxing event in histroy and ko each and every opponent with stunning combos.

The party continued then outside the ring when thousands of fans at his home state shot guns fires up in the sky and when on a parade.

Gurkan Ozkan hit number 1 ratings on show tv with 70 million turkish population on his back, he has done his fans and his country proud, he is been crowned nations hero all over newspapers and tv channels, something in which no one in Kickboxing history has ever been reconned with this much publicity, congratulations to our champion Gurkan Ozkan.

PS to the people back at home, i know its hurting you guys inside, dont give me your bullcrap feedback, just look at what his acheived and where he is today, fighting at age 37 win lose or draw always entertains the public and we are previlaged to support such a great champion that has done so much for Kickboxing in the years.

I have a friend who was in Turkey recently and stumbled accross this site, he asked me to set the record straight about a couple of things

The fights are so mismatched for the turks to win that people are putting it in the same bag as pro wrestling. These shows also do not pull good ratings, its all bull****, they say millions, not even tens of thousands.

The shows Gurkan fight in have brought such a bad name to muay thai and kickboxing, that they cannot find any sponsors to support the sport. These bouts are models against models, and there is a big uproar that this is allowed to be happening, in the papers it doesnt say anything about gurkan

In the Turkish newspaper last week, an article stated that an unlicensed promoter is promoting unlicensed fighters

He cant win in aus so they ship him over to turkey where you all must have sh!t for brains to pay to watch gurkan win a fixed fight. If a promoter can get 10 million fans watching cause a turk is wining in turkey why would he put him up against someone hard and make him lose and then then lose all the money making.

I wonder if they have actually seen the gurkan zamb fight or the gurkan sniper fight. Gurkan is a fake champ just like in wwf.
