Thought I'd start a thread about fighters who slipped off the radar and where they are now.
Shane Mead - Heavyweight from NSW - Bulldogs in CastleHill I think. I saw him slug it out with Butcher a year ago (maybe 2 now) and was supposed to be the next big thing. Wheres he gone?

Shane was on a forced holiday for alledgedly being involved in something he shouldn't have.
Was a GREAT fighter and the sooner he's back the better for the sport (and him)..
Shame he was a bulldog, Mead v Steve Mck would be a cracker..

So no chance of seeing the rematch I guess Nick..
So have Shanes issues been sorted, can we expect to see him back in the near future !

huh? he was on his way up sure, but Briggs made him look like a novice, what about nugget? Murph? and a handful of other fighters who were regularly fighting in Thailand at that time? No way you can say Vella was the best anything at that time, nice guy or not.
(yes he is a very nice guy, I met him before he started fighting)

I actually just bought The Quest on DVD on thought a certain German fighter Van Damme fights looked familiar. Sure enough, it was Habby Heske. He plays a pretty good villain, hehe.
