K unem,
12 months ago I would have totally agreed with you.
But now I think they are pretty reasonably priced.
To give you an idea of why I changed my mind.......
Recently I went to a boxing show with
Jimmy Thunder, Paul Briggs, Tosca Petridis, Sam Soliman. There was also a Kiwi fighter brought out to fight Briggs.
Imagine what those purses alone add up to. It was held at probably a 2000 plus seat arena (Melbourne Hockey and Netball centre). And I reckon the crowd attendance was probably around 400-500 people. Man, spectators can be quite fickle sometimes. I've read that this show didn't have very much advertising, but regardless, everyone in the industry, and everyone on the web boxing and kickboxing forums knew about it. This card should have easily filled the venue but it didn't.

For Tarik shows...
Standing $45
At the back seating which is dodgy $55
Closer than dodgy $100
10 meters before the ring $150
Ringside is $200
Why spend $100 when you can get general admission and find yourslef anywhere you can sneak in!!! hehe I have worked it out ages ago. Sitting is the worst type of ticket unless you got ringside or the seating is teared.
I wont be going to the Kostya fight cause the crappy seats start at $60 and your up in the grand stands.... And no atmoshpere.
