$50,000 isn't very realistic with the spectator numbers we get in Aus. Think about it guys, the promoter would have to allocate the money from 1000 ticket sales just to pay the one fighter. The opponent would also need to be paid plus venue, security, support fighters etc.

I guess we shouldn't hold our breaths.

Paul, I don't think that Ian is serious. I beleive that a lot of kickboxers deserve a lot more than they get, but nobody will ever pay Ian $50,000 for a single fight. Mr Ishi might pay hoost $50,000 for a big fight, but I can't imagine many people in the world apart from the elite heavyweights getting that sort of money. But hey, he can ask for what he think he deserves but he will not get $50k. Perhaps 15 to 20k is what the industry can afford for a fighter of his caliber.

Not sure Janer,
I remember talk of the Parr Vs Bannan fight having a winner takes all purse of $10,000
I'm also pretty sure the Judgement Day event is also winner takes all for the same amount.

I think Tariks last Oceania event paid $30,000.

I have no idea what individual fighters get, but I reckon $5000 is close to what the very elite in Aus would be getting locally.
