I attended Paul Demicoli's show in Queensland and I just want to say that the cops and liquor licence di-cheads su-ck.
What happened with the biky's, has nothing to do with any other show in Queensland. The cops charged over $10,000 to attend the show and when you, put up the money for the slack dastards to attend, you would think they would have to work on the night. All the cops did 90% of the time is eat chips, hot dogs and watch the fights.

And for the liquor inspector who's job it is to check liqor licenses. WTF has his job to do with the sound system and decebells.
He made the promotor turn down the sound system to talking volume.
Corruption or what. you first charge the propoter $10,000 for the cops to be there and them you wait for him to run the show, and then set him up with a regulation about sound. another $1200 fine.

I would think all the promotors in QLD, should get together with the MP for sport and also the inspector of police to put a end to all this sh-it in Qld.

If someone took pics of the cops at pauls show it would have been front page stuff. what a bunch of slack cu-nts. ripping of all the promtors in QLD.

i also heard that the show couldnt start on time because the police were late showing up to the venue could someone verify this as i was late myself maybe the police and government are going to screw the promoters so much in the hip pocket and at the events that they might just say bugger it and stop promoting shows and i think that is what the police and government want dont get me wrong the extra security is great and after what happened on the coast a must

I don't know about the late part. When I got to the venue they where already there. A group action against this would be they way to go.
They don't also want you to have 15+ police but you have to also employ security. Its a joke

let's hope this sort of thing doesn't spread Mike. Our show on Fri was very quiet without mishap (apart from hundreds of screaming Taipan and Bondi MT fans!) and as yet no police attention. Hopefully the same in Vic and no more of this silly renegging by venues.

It has spread.
i did a show up here in Darwin on the 7th April and the cops where out in full force. i had so much heat from the police, fire and licencing. there where about 15 task force police ther in full gear with sniffer dogs. instead of trying to make the place safe they tried to make themselves look as intimidating as possible.
i tried to tell them that what happend in the coast has nothing to do with Kickboxing and most of them agree. i think that they are blaming kickboxing so they can take the heat of themseves as they are really the blame for what happened.

All I can say is its gonna be very interesting to see the police turn out for the next xplosion in August... I agree it is so disopointing that it has come to this but we can only hope that in time this whole thing will blow over

dont quote me on this but i over herd paul and mr c on thursday night saying they are going to go to Accurent affair about the matter . hopfully it helps the sport out and gets the cops out of the hard working promoters pockets.

I think the police are over reacting about all of this, its never going to happen again,it was a one off thing and now everybody has to suffer for it,fighters, promoters and fans.

its not a good idea for paul democoli to go to the media about our sport because he got raided not long ago by the police and got busted for dope, cash, and guns,so he should'nt say anything.
maybe if that did'nt happen he would'nt cop so much heat,i think its called 'KARMA'
but i think it would be a good idea if someone with a good record go to the media and put our point across.
and michael you sound very educated by calling the police di-ckheads and c-nts,it sounds like your an idiot.

You start paying 10,000 for a pack of ****head and we will see what you would call them. Remember that at the end of the day the fee will be passed on to the people who buy the tickets to view the shows.
don't be supprised if the prices go up soon, to cover the extra cost the promoters have to pay to put on the shows.
I do call them Cu-nts, coz they set up the promotor by waiting for him to run the show on the night and then hit him with a fine for the sound being too loud. also they have shut down shows all over QLD and some other States.
I don't know if they are doing the same to Pro-boxing shows?

At the moment having police at kickboxing events is a fact of life, in time it will change. If you keep *****ing about it and the cost it keeps what happened in the public eye, its not great the promotors have to pay alot of extra money. But we still have shows happening and with a good track record things will ease up. No point in hassling the police and calling them names it gets you no where.

al123 its not a great idea to talk about people who have yet to go to court or be charged for something. Should always have your facts straight if you are going to say something along the lines of what you have said. me personally i would not be talking ill of someone who may be going to court over what you have suggested, could be very silly thing to do

Rodney Rude sings a good little song about Qld cops.

vukes, if you stated your opinion of the cops in an educated, professional, INTELLIGENT way you would have made more of an impression and probably had the support of some people. instead you came off sounding like a retard. repeatedly. one of the biggest hindrances to our sport is that public perception of people who run the game and promote the shows are louts and idiots...i would say thats what the sports biggest problem getting into the mainstream is, the fact that it has its roots firmly in the criminal world...we know your not quite a crim but brother your not doing much to sway the opinion that fools run the game. you would be amazed how powerful stating an opinion intelligently can be. people might actually like you.
