Hey All,
I was just looking at Lucy's upcomming promotion and I had a thought. Baris is a great fighter who doesnt get the recognition he deserves.
I remember Baris fighter that guy with all tha tatoos on the Ozkan V Jacobs undercard where he broke the guys arm. After that fight I never saw him fight (as I was over KB for a while!) until the fight with Bruce McFie where he knocked him out. Then I saw him fight against Zambidis and went 12 rounds which no fighter has done.
Please guys, fill me in as to what other fights he has had as I want to justify my thought of Baris being the most uderated fighter in Australia. Approx. dates aswell.

how you going janer??
that guy was machine gun charlie.Baris fought some good fighters early in his career. like evan paskilidis, micheal kenna, denver mathews etc but after breaking is leg a few years ago he hasnt been training that serious. also having a daughter when he fought in the first judgement day, he has slacked off from training abit, but thats understandable coz he has a family to look after<img src=icon_smile_big.gif border=0 align=middle>

Janer,
Sometimes I wonder how much Baris has had to do with this situation.
I mean, do you think it would be different if we saw Baris fighting 3 or 4 time per year?
Also, I'm glad he's finally fighting before a home crowd for the first time in a coule of years.

What do you guys reckon, should Baris put this fight off for 6 months or so?
You regular guys know that I'm a big Baris fan. I want Baris to win (love Mike, but believe in supporting the locals first and foremost), but I'm truly sorry to say that I'm not at all confident for Feb. Zam has convinced me that he's the most dangerous fighter I think I've ever seen. His KO's can come at any time from either hands or feet, and from any angle. He's truly a master of his game.
Baris just hasn't been active enough to be able to face the elite of the elite.

paul c u hit the nail right on the head!he did go 12 rounds with zam and was a great fight i was there however he is not fighting like he was then and he has to see that.he does need id say another 3 fights b4 he can take him on again.remember zam has been keeping busy fighting all great fights in 2002 and is in great shape!baris is far from that and if he were to rematch it would just be embarasing for baris so get a couple of more fights up his sleve and im sure he will get zam next time they meet!
