Mike,
Just a quick correction on the Term that you use regarding Fihlios Roundkick on the K1 last night ( it is used in the Blitz as well).. Firstly their is "no" such kick as a Brazillian Kick, the fact that Francisco uses it in competition does not really give him the title of "Brazillian Kick".. The most Technically gifted and flexible Japanese have used this type of roundkick for ages. This is where it comes from. Although it must be noted that Fihlio has found it very difficult to land this kick consistantly in the K1 format as opposed to the amount of times he has scored with it in Kyokushin Knockdown.

ie: we dont called it the Andy Hug kick when someone uses an Axe Kick, we dont call it a Gary Oneil kick when he uses a Jumping Spinning Back Kick.

I can understand that some fighters use or favour certain techniques in their fighting arsenal, but it is akin to saying , lets call it the Cro Cop kick when ever a southpaw throws a left high round kick?
Or a Zam punch when ever anyone works the body with solid hooks etc. It cheapens others efforts.

I hope that my point is noted as Thousands of people hear what you say on Fox and i thought that you would like an informed & correct opinion.

I might as well add that the Term for Middlebody Straight Punch in Japanese is pronounced; Chudan Tsuki. and it does not sound like Zoo - Key.

It would sound like ski.. the t is silent. No offence but as you know i am a Kyokushinkai traditionalist, and incorrect terminology kinda grinds me up a bit.

Thanks
