OK, so this thread may be to Sportblitz what 'Did Sakuraba tap?' or 'Rickson's 400-0 Record' is the Sherdog, but I just wanted to know how and why Solak lost (or gave up?) the rights to promote K1 in this region.

Can someone give me a brief run down on the situation?

from what i know, it was to do with the 2002 zambidis vs jwp fight. With how much tarik hugs zambidis nuts, he gave the fight to zambidis, when clearly jwp won. The board does not accept biased fight judging.

i think is because the K1 is held be the japs, they didnt want tarak 2 b part of it because he was disrespectfull 2 them and they dont like that.

Sarcasm is the lowest form of wit.

I assume you are intending to be sarcastic when you say that the K1 board does not accept biased fight judging ... or just really hope that you were.

Please do not make stuff up just for the sake of making a post.

Thank you,

hehe Fish, well, we best not comment on that, except to say it was almost as exciting as the actual fights to watch how one particular ref performed in Japan in recent years.

In response to your question Hiro, I think you will find the reasons are not too difficult to fathom, though Tarik did put on a very good show in Melb a few years back. There has always been pressure from Dixon and Ray to secure K1 rights.
