Bring back Australia vs Thailand

Just like some of the old Boonchu Cup action I'd love to see a lineup with the Evolution stars vs the Thais again.

Now not wanting to sound too spoilt but matching up Wazza, Soren, Pixie and Preacher is getting a little tired.
I'd love to see the Aussies against some hard mofo's from Thailand/Japan in an annual tourney just like the old days.

70kgs and lower is a great weight to find Thais who will bring excitement to a public hungry for new talent.

I hear where you you are comming from voice, but unfortunately we cant bring A class Thai's to our shores all the time for one we dont have that many fighters who can match them (Nugget and Mark Pease agree on this)also getting them here is expensive and they all have hectic fight scheduals in Thailand, guy's like Anuwat have no competition here and we dont want to see our fighters getting beaten by these tpye of fighters as was the case in the 80's 90's when some fighters like Jomhod, Sakmongkol, Sangtien Noi were here , nugget and Josh and Ray bring in quality fighters from Thailand and Japan and match up our fighters to get them more big fight experience, like when Preacher fought Mungkorn and then JWP then into the Kings birthday S-1 this was great preperation for him, Evolution 7 see's Wanlop and Leonard Sitpolek and also Mungkorn here who are all A class fighters so this will test Soren,Preacher and Wazza, it would be great to see Thailand's best v Australia's best but the cost is a big factor and matching them is even harder under full Thai rules, i have been to a lot of these shows over the years and they are great but i want our guy's to win , i am sure JWP would love to fight Thais ever month if he could, but we need the next generation to progress to his level so we can compete with the big name Thai fighters, just my opinion anyway, cheers

yeah, fair call. I meant to add I was thinking of the 2nd tier like Rungchai (who has been a good match for TS2), Wimberdon and Petch for example who have been here. Plenty of others at around 70kgs should be available too but you'd need to bring them all out at once to save on trainers etc.
The top tier indeed would be expensive and not always available but the next tier would provide great experience for our boys...as you say only JWP probably good enough for the top tier but there would be plenty that a skilled promoter could find to provide something different to the aussie vs aussie fights we are seeing a lot of.

Who did Jomhod fight in Australia?

He fought Paul Briggs Ghodrat, superleague fighters are usually under contract and are paid more than we could pay them, also the cost to bring europeans here is astronomical

Still hoping to get Pete Crooke down at some stage probably whilst hes in Thailand to save $$$

Would also love to see more of the fighting Russian family Arslan, Rammazan, Mohammed and Adbumalik in Oz. Mohammed is now walking around at 90kgs so a possible 3rd macth with Carnage would be great to see.

Ole is a great fighter and because he lives in Thailand its easier to get him here in between other fight commitments, i supose he is fighting JWP ? it will be nice to catch up with him again, he is a top guy, i agree also Dutt's some good fighters based in Thailand now even Phil McAlpine who can fight between 69-71kg he made it to the final of the 2005 kings birthday and was beaten on points by Samkor, Phil is based in Thailand at Kaewsamrit camp i am sure he would come down for a fight with some of our guys ie Soren, Preacher, Pixie even JWP

poor old jwp always gets to fights the top guys in the world. i'd like to see him fight a young up and coming top gun from thailand rather than one of these c***s who are 250-235-10-5.

Yes there is a boy from Kaesamrit currently ranked in the top 5 at Lumpini stadium around the 70kg mark, he could fight here also very strong in the grapple

i was just looking back over some old fights on the weekend. It is very easy for people here to think that the Kronsak Leks of the world were the best thailand had to offer and our boys were easily their match.
Watch a few of the lumpinee fights and one quickly realises there are many many champions there that most of us never even hear of in Aust, let alone see fight.
