Sniper vs Carnege poll

just wondering if this fighters r at the same weight.

I think sniper is a touch lighter, but i think it would b a really good fight.
most poeple on here will b one eyed about it(carnege) but i think sniper is a smart fighter and could evan win.
Thoughts anyone....

Firstly.
Sniper is 78-81kgs fight weight.
Carnage is 86-90kgs.

Secondly.
Sniper is a kickboxer
Carnage is everything except kickboxer.

If you wanted to throw Sniper in against a top MT guy then Boom Boom is your man at 78-80kgs, but as we have seen with Steve and Carnage, mixing the styles is a nightmare.

Please everyone else, don't even comment of who would win as it is not a legitimate matchup and will sound quite disrespectful.

Sorry voice i thought carnege sat at around 83-84, i knew sniper was at around 80, and i thought sniper was at there level.

Nar i havent only seen one fight of his about 3yrs ago, im not testing just asking a question i dont follow mt in qld much cos i havent got foxtel but i have seen sniper fight and like what i see.

mungkorn u bring ur boy here for a kickboxing fight and i will fight him no problem mate. sh!t bring boomboom if he is keen for a kickboxing fight. of course i am not a muay thai fighter and i dont even pretend to be one and to me it would be like telling the aussie league team to play the all blacks in a rugby union game.
if u think voice that carnage is so far ahead of everyone then get him to fight steve in a kickboxing bout as well. then u will see my point about styles.

actually snip i don't think voice actually made any comment about steve and carnage except to say agreeing bouts between fighters of different styles is a nightmare. Didn't make a comment on the outcome if you re-read.

eugene and kickboxing are like 2 positively charge protons put 2gether.. (they push each other away)
eugene has immaculate grappling, that carries him through tough fights... to be honest he would struggle in a kickboxing fight against a mediocre opponent. FTR is all he knows..

seth2 thats exactly my point buddy. i would never ever put a challenge or any way want to disrespect a fighter especially on a public forum. i respect he is a brilliant thai fighter and i would not even think about attempting my FIRST full thai fight to be against someone of that caliber. i was just making reference to the comment that he would "kill me". if he is going to kill me then put him in with rules i am familiar with.

but in saying that eugene is a FTR opponent, we have Rob Lovett as mentioned.. he fights FTR and was Eugene's main sparring partner. Eugene always had the grappling upperhand, but Rob is closely behind.. apart from that Rob was always givin him a touch up when fighting outside the grapple.. im sure he would have no problem adjusting to KB.. u may face him one day sniper <img src=icon_smile_big.gif border=0 align=middle>

I have a poster in our gym of a boonchu cup or explosion (I think it might have been an S-Sup???) It has a picture of you sniper vs carnage. obviously this fight didn't happen, but do you remember when this was? and who replaced you? Was the fight supposed to be under shoot boxing rules or something?

I don't recall that Frank, but it could never have happened as Snip has never fought at or over 86kgs. I think Carnage fought earlier in his career as low as 83 even, but was never a kickboxer.

Snip has never fought in Qld I don't think let alone an Xplosion. But Sniper's reply is valid, all things aside, each fighter fights different rules.

If Sniper ever pulls his finger out and learns to fight elbows and knees there would be some great possibilities after he gains experience, however the more I think on it, I think the better he is suited to kickboxing. Reach and long legs are a very important asset in MT whereas Snip is more nuggety and at 82kgs would find himself against tall rangy guys like Danny Derdowski.

yeah u make sure ur guard is up at the pub voice, i owe u another shin kick there hehe! and yes i have fought on a ray matsumura show a wee while back. i stopped blizzard here in sydney in rd 1 kickboxing rules then again up in qld 2 weeks later in modified thai rules.
i remember back in about 2000 ray wanted me to fight carnage but i had never fought thai before and did not even know what shoot boxing was. i was also only given a week or 2 notice so chose instead to fight for my first amateur world title against dragonmir dubbocannin.
