I have not seen the first bout thus i can not remark but from the little i've read there are more than a few who feel it was exceptionally close.Stan himself conceded that had the fight been held anywhere else that JWP would have won!!
Would it not make sense for these guys to settle this over 5 rounds of Full Thai Rules??
What do you all think the outcome would be and why ?
Im sure Tarik would be thrilled to put it on and both Zam/JWP i'm certain would love nothing more.
P.S- How about Stan Vs Briggs in a boxing bout as the main event??If Howard Leighs article was on the money about Stan venturing back to boxing after 15 years this would certainly bring the fans in. Hell,i would even fly down to see that one.NOW WHAT DO THINK HAPPEN THERE FIGHTFANS???? The fight weight could be a catch weight between Cruiser and Heavy.

No, that would be silly. Zambidis has absolutely no experience in Full Thai and to fight Parr just like that with elbows is plain silly. That's unfair to Mike. Why not 12 rounds of kickboxing? Both are supposedly proficient at boxing and kicking. If not that, then K-1 rules again for the rematch as it at least gives Wayne something to combat Mike's hands with.
Where did Stan say Wayne would have won if the fight was held somewere else? Very curious to know.

Howard Leigh's article about Stan going to boxing was complete garbage. He is making things up again. He did that once before, back in 99.

Hello Nick !You should have clarified this with Stan himself since you were on the phone not that long ago. Had you asked,im certain he would have informed you that he said that personally to JWP on the night!As for the rules to be contested i am more than certain that JWP would even fight Zambides in a boxing match without any worry at all-over 10 rounds as there would not be a title on the line. Although from a fans point it would be great to see Zambides emulate Stans feat of also fighting in Thailand under full thai rules and JWP would be a great opponent to establish himself as a credible champion under ANY rules.He may like to have a few fights prior in order to prepare.Although i dont think Stan had any elbow fights prior to the Kirkwood Walker fight which was sanctioned for the WMC World title if im not mistaken and which he defended in Thailand under full thai rules against the late Andy Hug if my memory serves me correctly??I think Andy Kod him in the first with a straight right but i'll have to check that as my video collection is currently in a state of utter chaos.

Just relax guys! remember this is just a forum where you swap ideas, listen to other peoples opinions and share your own. I do believe the topic is about a rematch between JWP and Mike. My opinion is that a rematch of any sort between these two, would be a treat in any form. JWP deserves a rematch after the very dodgy decision Tuesday night and for the chance to win in Melbourne town! The K-1 rules I feel were fair as JWP had to leave his elbows at home(a disadvantage) and Mike had to add knees to his arsenal(a disadvantage). So why not the same rules(modified thai/K-1). :)
