What is the go with all the other states fighting with rival gyms dont see NTG STRIKEFORCE BOONCHU SUNSHINE COAST rubbishing eachother maybe that is why Queensland are no1 in thai.

I think it like that in every gym the trainer picks who he wants 2 make a champ and the rest can do there own thing, i think it wrong.
its a pity we r not all classed as equels.

Yeah but Flash when you say the word 'gym' as in 'rival gym' maybe you should substitute 'unofficial spokesperson' because its rarely the head instructor or seniors who have problems with each other.
Fastfrank, you've answered something/someone else I think...

if all gyms where like that we will all b like JWP, rob lovett, Angie and the rest of the strikeforce boys I HAVE ALOT OF RESPECT FOR PEOPLE WITH RESPECT.
I think alot of people should read this post and use it in there own gym.
Cos theres gonna b a time when someone gonna snap
Thats the reason JWP is at the top, he has earned it and deserves it
Well done JWP

He is referring to a post started a few weeks ago, started by someone pretending to be at a certain gym, then escalating to s$%t slinging, it has all been resolved, so maybe let it rest there....DazMon, you hit the nail on the head, the few spoil it for the many...

That is what I have been able to ascertain Madjack.
I too was at the WMC meeting a few months ago in Richmond.
I saw everyone who's anyone in Melbourne KBing & MT there.
I think Killa Karl was there...
But there was no animosity between trainers, the people who have been 'having conflicts' between the gyms were saying hello's to each other, conversing freely etc.

Mungkorn was talking about all the **** that was going on, on the sparring thread was surprised bye your abrupt reply as i am a huge fan of yours. BUT THE MAIN POINT i was trying to get across was that a thread full of **** gets more response than a thread that means something EXAMPLE: i posted a thread on a question that i have been asked a lot (see K1 VS THAI thread} bye a lot of young fighters, and with all the trainers and fighters on this site (including yourself)got no response. So really was making a point Ash MAguire

quote:Does fighting k1 rules or similar rules hurt our good thai fighters
Flash the only way I can see it would hurt them is on there fight record, putting them out of there confort zone will be hard at first but give it a couple of fights and they should adapt no problem.
If a MT fighter is going to have a KB fight then that is how he should train for that fight, if the prep is good enough there shouldn't be a problem.
If I was getting a fighter ready for a KB fight I would concentrate more on the hand department and the range that the fighter would fight from, side movement and attacks from differnet angles because the fight won't go to grapple, I would also work alot on the body shots seeing they can't knee you in the head when you are throwing shots down low, also depending on the fighter (short or tall)I would open the range on there kicking so they could finish with long hand combo's then change angle and attack again.
Hope this is what you were looking for............
