The Russian guy fought at 95-98kgs normally. When he weighed in at 88kgs I thought he was someone else. One thing I can say is he must have trained hard for this fight against Sting. He knew that Sting was definately over 100kgs so I am at a loss why he weighed in so light. The government officail was not happy but this guy had been listed as a Super-Heavyweight by the WMC so we took the fight based on that and also the fact that he fought Butcher at over 90kgs.
Its disappointing though but they knew the weight so what can we do about it....My concern is that the SA Sports and Rec may even stop this fight due to the weight difference. I am not happy about the weight either because it doesn't do Paul any justice if he beats this guy. I spoke to Thailand yesterday and was told that he had been training very hard and had Ignasov and Ramazan training with him for this fight over the last 2 weeks. Paul will be in for a shock I believe.
Hi Alan, Good luck to you and Paul, I hope he knocks him out cold. No disrepect to the Russian.

Paul is a tank compared to Gadzhiev, however he fought well against Butcher and Russians tend to be very tough hard fighters. He might not be a superstar but I'm not sure Paul can knock him out. Hopefully he has the skill level to keep out of the way of Paul's damaging leg kicks so the fight can go the distance.
Thanks Adam for your inciteful articles and photos that you bring us time and again from Knees of Fury, they are much appreciated for those of us who can't make it.

Awesome show as usual...congrats to Ethan Sheep
Main Event Results
Kym Johnson points win over Ben Ritter (Switzerland) To strong to big.
Tennile May Ko Nitikan (Thai)I think 2 or 3rd round via hands
Richard Simko (Slovakia) Close points win over Milan Milosivec....8 count being the difference.
Paul Slowinski Tko 3rd via legs kicks over Abdumalik( couisn to Arslan, Mohammed and Ramazan)...Abdu was the early aggressor via elbow attacks & crisp punching but was caught with massive leg kicks by the Sting whcih spelt an early end.
Robert Fogarty (Qld) Ko 5th round over Karim Chelal who I would say was ahead on points in his return after a 10 year+ layoff.
Other results im not sure of.

Muay Thai King, i don't bag people on here (and i wont) but your wrong...
I was at the Weigh-in on Thursday night when the difference was noticed, and I saw first hand Alan's reaction. (not happy)
Even more wrong is the fact of looking for an easy fight for Paul, anyone whom was at the fight will tell you it wasn't a walk over even with the weight difference, Paul destroyed the Russian with leg kicks but not before the russian went about his bussiness working his speed and elbows.
Yes it would have been good if the weight was closer, but to accuse someone of underhanded goings on like that is just crap.
IMHO <img src=icon_smile_cool.gif border=0 align=middle>

Mr Muaythai King, it is very nice of you to voice your opinions but don't use my surname as a way to voice your obviously racist attitude. I am only repeating what I was told when I spoke to Thailand and the Russian knew what Paul's weight was when he took the fight. So you can say what you like about me but don't you dare say I am shifty. People I deal with in the kickboxing world knows that I am as straight as it comes so say what you like but don't get personal

Firstly you should be embarrassed to even say that on a public forum, im surprized you got such a polite response from alan.. There is no such thing as an easy fight for some1 at Paul's level, they train hard and fight hard.. if you look at the photo's of paul you might notice the size of his legs.. those things could chop through trees, so of course if he gets em firing up he's going to do some damage, id surely like to see if you'd be standing after a few... and secondly, you use the term "again" Name ONE time alan has done "shifty" business???
think before you speak next time mate
