ahh its slowly approaching midnight in perth and i just thought i'd ask about skipping variations between gyms?
we have a few.
1) standard doubles -record 272 (rob lovett)
2) fast 50 (50 doubles timed)- record 23 secs (rob lovett and brad witheridge)
3) backwards doubles - record 60 (brad witheridge)
4) triples - record 18 (me hehehe)
we generally use these as something to strive for, and normal skipping as time for a breather
im currently on 251 doubles, 24 secs for the fast 50, a sad sad 24 or 25 for backwards doubles and well hold the record 4 triples
any other suggestions, or thoughts???

Li'l Seth you worry me sometimes...are you really a young lad as you claim?
Shouldn't you be out there coining cars, squeezing zits or being a general 14yr old nuisance.
You're a good lad, the old man has raised you well.

If your bored, get a colored Thai skipping rope (heavy duty with ball bearings)and see how many double jumps you can do in a row, when you get to 30-40 you will start to appreciate how good double jumping is for your fitness, then when you have managed 50 in a row you can start to try and do triples, Mitchell the little sh1t puts us all to shame with the triples, most in the gym can't even do one.
They all just say he's a little freak...
See how long it takes before you can do 100 double jumps and how fit you will get from it, this sort of skipping makes 30 mins fly.....
p.s. I have done 107 double jumps, 21 backwards and can still manage 50 anytime, not bad for a old bast@rd....

the key thing is not the height of your jump, or the speed of the ropes revolutions it is your timing. once you develope good timing you can start producing numbers in excess of 100 with relatively no difficulty..
