K1 Max line up

Just found the proposed line up for next weeks K1 max from Tariks site
Chopper v Ryland Mahoney
JWP v Alex Tui
Behic v PNG opponent
Zambidis v PNG opponent
Just wondering if anyone knows what happen to Dawson and Tai?

Dawson and Tai both fought not long ago, I wonder if they might be carrying injuries.

Glen I wish I knew the answer. Tui is quite competitive though.

Must say the draw is set out very well for anyone attending on the night. JWP,Chopper,Jenk and Zam should all square off against each other in the second round. Quality fights they will be.
Ryland has been around for a few years in Qld but i doubt he will bother Chopper too much.
Alex Tui fighting again!! Why?
2 x PNG fighters anyone seen them before.
On second thoughts lets just skip the first round fights and go straight to the prominent four fighters.

Did any of you guys here see Stanley fight in the Qld K1 show?
I've only seen the one fight of his in Sydney were he KO'd Frank Zammit, just wondering how well he did in QLD?

I just presumed he was one of the two PNG fighters.


I don't think he's that heavy though, maybe 74 or so.

I don't think it will be as good as it could have.

Dawson and Tai out...that sucks, but as if i didn't know some big names would withdraw. But, injuries come first.

Imagine Collard, Cope, Dawson, Tai along with Jenk, Chopper, JWP and Zam.

Jenk said that Chopper is up against JWP first???????

Tui is conditioned, but i would have prefered to see someone else. Even Elson again, or Eugene Ekkleboom from WA who beat Aaron Boyes from NZ.

stan won in under 30sec? and so did gurkan. both won by knock out.

As for k1 max, im am really spewing about Daniel Dawson. He would of been really good competition for Zambidis. I expected some pull outs so I guess we are still left with a good card.

Tarik was at the fightforce show last night talking about K1 Max on Tuesday.

Just wanted to let you guys know that Nandex is having a Super fight, but isn't in the Max.

I thought he might have lost a bit of weight and fought in it, but apparently two other PNG fighters in it.

Strange to see Alex in the K1 Max line-up.. Really John Hallford should have been asked to slot in their as the NSW rep! No disrespect to Alex ( he was my Kickboxing Trainer ) but John "is" a current World Champion who is at the top of his game at the moment. I thought that the K1 Max was suppose to be the "best of the best" A pity.

Just a guess,
perhaps they were hoping to have John as one of the star fighters in the under 78, so perhaps overlooked him as a possible entry for the Max. I know that Ozkan has mentioned several times that he wanted to test himself against John. I'm sure it's because he's sees him as his best competition in Aus at that weight .
