anyone have any opinions on who should win the award??
IMO its going to go 2 an QLD'er with out a second thought, not out of bias, but due to the fact that the rest of Aus does not receive as much attention due 2 various reasons. WA will be up there one day, we just need foxtel 4 christ sake!!! i think eugene has done enough to win it this year: won WMC title, defeated elson, defeated Eh Puthong.. also has not lost a fight out of his last 25 if im not mistaken.. other than him i think JWP might go back to back. other fighters such as TS2 and Soren have had good years aswell

I think it will definently be a QLDer.

Id like to vote for Carnage or even lets give the butcher the respect he deserves and a final farewell. Vote 1 the butcher!

Eugene "Boom Boom" would be a good candidate.

speaking of Butcher, he and Soren and I would say a couple of the other NTG boys pushed into the bloody queue for food right in front of me on the weekend. I was gonna have a go...but then I thought maybe not :) LOL. Bloody rude bastards.

:) funny. They were talking to another couple of their mates in front, and thought it would be good to join 'em I guess. Sorry it was the line to the grog not food. I wasn't drinking, was designated driver, was getting some for the other boys upstairs still. Wasn't the decanter of drinks a debarcle, absolute pain in the a**e.

MTM, mate. Think outside the square. Me and Promo cottoned on early that there was a bar outside the door behind the main bar. Lineup was usually no more than 12 - 15 peeps.

Was that accessible to the general public seating though? We were "ringside", $45 tickets? You guys were at the tables, which in my eyes is true "ringside"?

I think Eugene, simply because he has defeated both a former and a current WMC world champion(Elson and Zak) this year and in effect became a WMC world Champ.. Hard to match that IMHO.

My choice is Nathan Corbet as NO 1 but In the way Preacher has fought and carried himself i think he is due for some recignition in there aswell.Bullet Williams:)

I think it will be either Boom Boom or Carnage.

Boom Boom has won a WMC title this year.

Carnage has won both WMC & WBC world titles in the same year.

Flip of the coin IMO

MTM, nah we were special ringside. Tables were fully catered and drinks supplied.
I would have been p!ssed off if I bought "ringside" like you, thinking i would be ringside. Nearly needed binocs from up there. I guess thats where a bit of experience comes in. Anything under say $60 and its not gonna be near the ring.

Your right Russ, was my first time to the convention centre, and won't be buying those seats again in future. View was alright actually, we were right up the front on those seats, you could see everything ok, but certainly would have been better in the $75's or on the tables for sure.
With the tables, how much could you actually drink ultimately :) and what was the feed like?

cheers

I dont know if you saw the Sefo table? The chick that got up during the auction. I think she drank half the bar, so I guess no limit is applied.

:) yep sure did, hopeless. I was actually sitting pretty much on say a 15 degree angle directly behind that table. The side she entered the ring from. Very funny.
Excellent then, definitely a special ringside table next time <img src=icon_smile_tongue.gif border=0 align=middle>

I have to go with Carnage, WMC/WBC world cruiserweight champion.
