Dad was a pro soccer player in his day, and a pro coach later on, so my brother and I both played soccer from a very early age. I started playing in the first grade, so I was 6, and I started playing basketball that same year. I played both sports until I stopped at the end of 1998, having turned 19 that year. I haven't played either sport ever since turning 20, and I'm currently 26 years old. I'll probably end up playing both sports again when I turn 30, seeing as I'll be eligible to play in master's tournaments and feel like a rookie again. I don't think the 10 year hiatus will do me any good though, but I'm sure the elbows will come in handy, hehe. However, ring sports were, and will always be, my favourite. Boxing, Kickboxing, Muay Thai, MMA, and even Pro Wrestling, I love them all. I've only ever practiced Muay Thai, but I respect all fighting arts.

Martial arts most of my life, played Aussie rules , still love my motorcross not racing just bush bashing, and I play golf when I can, got into skydiving for a while and now that cray season is just starting time to put on the tanks and get som crays for xmas, taste better when there free.
But most of all watching cricket and footy on the box is the sport I've come keen of lately.

I use to be Basketball, but i got fed up with getting kicked out the stadium and suspended.

So now it's limited to that tennis game that you hit the ball round and round on the pole.

I could be a state champion at that, in fact Teather Tennis for the Comenwealth Games!!!!!!!

Big D in training, will be back in da house one day......

LOL sounds exactly like me.

I got suspended for 72 weeks for knocking a guy out cause he pushed my buttons one too many times. didnt go back to b'ball since. I was a freak when i was a little younger. much lighter than i was now but could do all the spectacular dunks that you see on tv. now im lucky to just dunk it with an added 20+ kilos

Dont mistake my harshness for strength and neither mistake my kindness for weakness.

I use to play in whyalla (only social, played for my town a couple of times but i'm not a superstar)

As for the forced time away from the game, over a period of 4 weeks i had three all in brawls, or i should say me and an offsider onto the other team(thats what happens when you play in a team with younger lads, they run)and nothing happened.

But then I abuse a Ref, and tell him that i think he is'nt a very nice person and can jump of a cliff (censored what really said) and away i go for 12 weeks. Come back, get kicked out, come back, get kicked out, see the issue.

So no more B Ball for me

Some guy, another sensational and life altering post there...

Before training I used to ride horses, a lot of cross country stuff mainly. There's just something about travelling at 60kms over all types of terrain on an animal that really you have no control over..

It seems a natural progression from b'ball to muay thai really, they both can be as brutal as each other!!

When in doubt, power out..

hey all

just a few quick posts from my italy leg on my honeymoon. i was an avid bball player in high school but stopped playing when i discovered MT. then moved to sydney and stopped training MT altogether and picked up bball again...i enjoy playing bball for the fitness side of things (cause i don't do any other excercise). i play scrimmages on friday nites down at the rocks if anyone wants to see how bad i am...

Played rugby union for most of my life. Started off as a centre, then got too big (6ft 4, 112kg) and had to move into the forwards.
Played all my junior rugby in NZ then in Syd playing for the Parramatta club. Last played a couple of seasons ago for Caloundra in Qld's Sunshine Coast and some rep games for the Qld Country team.

Also played grade cricket in NZ when I was younger.

I still play basketball but mainly playground, streetball stuff. I love BBall but I prefer the contact stuff like rugby, martial arts/boxing.

Cricket, ended up playing for QLD country open side when I was 19 against a touring South African 1st class side - Western Province, was already under the influence of drink and women and never really looked back :), gave it away shortly after.
Once you start MT though, there ain't much time for anything else anyway if your serious about it, the training to be fit enough to use it takes up my whole week :)
