Tszyu labelled a 'bum'

AMERICAN boxer Sharmba Mitchell has labelled Kostya Tszyu a "bum" on a live TV broadcast seen throughout the US.
The trash-talking Mitchell, who lost his World Boxing Association junior welterweight title to Tszyu last year in what some believed were controversial circumstances, also used the TV cameras to demand a rematch with Tszyu.
Mitchell's outburst came after he outpointed another American, Vince Phillips, in a bout in Oklahoma City at the weekend.
Mitchell and Phillips said the winner of their fight deserved to challenge Tszyu.
"One of us can finally get this bum named Tszyu," Mitchell yelled into the camera in a post-fight interview on US cable TV. Phillips holds the distinction of being the only boxer to beat Tszyu in a pro-fight, scoring a 10th-round knockout in 1997, but the 39-year-old's career is now in doubt.
Mitchell said his loss to Tszyu in Las Vegas in February last year was inconclusive.
Mitchell injured his left knee and was forced to end the fight in the seventh round, giving Tszyu the victory and his WBA belt.
"I lost because my corner stopped it and I was kicking his butt," Mitchell said.
Mitchell forgot to say Tszyu had knocked him to the canvas four times and was also leading on the judges' scorecards when the bout was stopped.
Tszyu will defend his WBA, WBC and IBF titles against Texan "Jesse" James Leija in Melbourne in January.
