K-1 ANNIHILATION on FOX 8 - It's Coming!!


Hi everyone

Some exciting news for all Aussies... FOX 8 will soon screen three episodes of a program called K-1 ANNIHILATION.

The three week series will chronicle Mark Hunt's rise and rise, from a regional champion to the King of the K-1 world. It will feature highlights of all the major K-1 shows from the past year, plus much more including knockouts, history and the like.

The show will be hosted by myself and Tarik Solak... and will be three x one hour episodes to be aired during prime time on the following dates:
NOVEMBER 23
NOVEMBER 30
DECEMBER 7

So make sure you all keep an eye on your FOXTEL guides and tune into FOX 8 for K-1 Annihilation. The more support we get for the show, the more Fox 8 will consider having WEEKLY K-1 shows next year!!

I dont know about anyone else here, but geeez the UFC is probably the closest anyone will get to realistic street brawling, even the ground work is entertaining, watching the fighters trying to figure out how to get out of some very sticky situations especially when they are on there backs and their heads are squashed againsted the sides of the ring... Even Muay Thai seems to pale againsted the realisim of the UFC format. The UFC Middleweight Champion ( Tito ? ) last week finished his opponent with a nice body slam / dump and 2 cracking face punch's to KO his opponent, all within 30 seconds... Ahhh man gotta love it!

I saw the guide today and it has been pencilled in for those dates at 9.30pm which is a great timeslot.

We just finished filming in the studio this morning at the Fox Footy Studios in Southbank... I think you will all enjoy the show... it chronicles Mark Hunt's rise, shows all the highlights from the past year including the controversial Hunt vs LeBanner in Paris... Hunt's huge KO over LeBanner in the GP... Hunt's demolition of Nakasako after getting knocked down... ALL the Saitama matches including the 'Freak Show' Bob Sapp and previews the K-1 GP 2002.

Like I said, please show your support for this show and there is a chance Fox 8 might take it on next year ... it's all good for kickboxing :)

Guys, now is the time to support kickboxing in the media!
We can all carry on about alot of things, but as Michael says, "The time for talk (and *****ing & moaning) is over!"
Let's do something positive for kickboxing in Australia, and will be of benefit for us in the long run as KB/MT fans.
