Yeah it should be good.
I'm looking forward to seeing how hard Arthur is going to come out. We all know he's a great fighter, but I'd like to see him concentrate now on perfecting a 3 rnd strategy........hopefuly he'll be in this new K1 Tourny for Super Middle's and he can do really well I think if he just starts harder earlier.

A Thai fighting at 76-78kgs and world title bouts between two guys who I doubt would have even fought someone from interstate.
World title means best in the world, so who have they fought to get the title shot?
I'll give it a miss. I'm sure someone won't like what I said, but that's just what I'm thinking.

I've heard of Both guys many times, but don't know any of their stats.
Lundh and Dragomir I mean.
Can anyone fill us in?
Lucy or Michael, Is this the Dragomir that used to train with Steve Jez?
Glen, do you feel that this is any different to what ISKA would organize?
I've seen a few ISKA Pro world title fights now in Aus, but the opponents too have many times also been locals or from New Zealand.
Prince Amir Vs Scott Bannan.
Gurkan Ozkan Vs Daniel Tai.
Scott Vs Parr.
By the way, I don't have a problem with this, all those guys are absolute world class.
I'd much rather see Banan Vs Parr than Parr vs some guy from Europe whom we don't know as much about.
I do think that the sanctioning body titles are going to mean less and less. I think most of us are more impressed by the Judgement Day or similiar title, K1 Oceania etc. And perhaps we'll start to consider these guys as the undisputed of their division. Because I noticed espescially in the first event that just about every Judgement day competitor held a world title of some sort.
Hey, have any of you guys seen George Sofocledes fight before?
George is a pretty small heavy-weight, but with awesome power.
I saw one of the most beautiful KO's from him about 18 months ago. It actualy made the opponent go down flat like an ironing board.
Hehe, Kali Meehan is good at those type of KO's.
I wouldn't call Daniel Tai world class. Capable but not world class yet. I guess it all depends on what you consider world class.

Glenn, your right on the money. Paul most orgs have made the title situation a joke, it doesnt make it OK that these guys jump on board. All it has done is insult the legitimate world class fighters from our country who have proved it!

Remy,
Daniel certainly gave Ozkan a close fight the second time.
As close as John Hallford in Boxing. Closer than Arthur in Kickboxing. I honestly felt it was pretty friggin close, and you know I'm a big Ozkan fan.
My point was actually meant to be something like this. If Ozkan is a world class fighter (which I believe he cetainly is), and if Daniel gave him such a close fight how much better can we expect? I feel that Daniel put on as good if not better a fight than what we probably would have seen from a top 5 ranked Big sanctioning body fighter.
Sash, the point I was trying to make is that the local Sanctioning bodies get rubbished for doing something which they all do at sometime or another. So I feel it's a bit unfair to single out IKBF and WKBF because they are the new kids. Just because ISKA and whomever have been around longer, it doesn't to me automatically mean that they have a special right to be there and deserve more respect as authorityj, and any new initiative at starting a sanctioning body is automatically a joke regardless of how good it's intentions are. Guys, correct me if I'm wrong, but I presume they are all private enterprises. I guess I could give them some special respect if they were government administered or something. I'm sure that the people running IKBF and WKBF would love to have hundreds of thousands of dollars from the very get go to be able to pay champion fighters to come and fight for their belts.
I just believe that if we're to critically look at sanctioning bodies, than lets do it fairly and judge them all with the same criteria for what is good and what is bad.
Yes Lucy's WKBF is in NSW and in NZ.
But the fights she puts on for her WKBF titles, are they realy less ligit than what the other guys are doing. How so if the bigger ones are also using locals and bringing fighters from NZ the majority of the time.
Yes they are wider spread, but what good does it do us if we don't see this width being brought to us. And when it is, is the quality of fights truely that much better than what WKBF puts on?
In my experience, not necessarily.
I've been to both bad and brilliant from small and large.
I'm in no way trying to rubbish ISKA, I understand that it simply isn't feasable to bring out people from the US, Europe or wherever outside the Oceania.

Hey Paul, yes I feel the same about 99% "world titles" fought for in this country, regardless of the sanctioning body.
Titles I respect are the WMTC titles that are fought for in Queensland, which aren't "world titles", but state and national titles. I respect them, because the people who fight for them are often the best fighters at that weight in Australia/Queensland.
Remember, people who hold titles are meant to be the best at that particular weight at whatever the title is (state, nationwide, world).
No disrespect intented to the fighters on the upcoming show, but do you think that they are the best in the world at that weight level?
I think the promoters are to blame for this "world title" glut, but that's another story.
When I see an advertisement for an upcoming show, it is the fighters who are on it that attract my interest, not for what meaningless title is being fought for. It is the fighters who are on the show on which I make my decision to go or not, not what meaningless title is being fought for. So basically, titles mean nothing to me as a paying spectator.
Another thing I would like to point out in regards to "world titles". The best Muay Thai fighters in the world are fighting in Thailand, agreed?, yet there are people with Muay Thai "world titles" who haven't even fought in Thailand? how can you be the worlds best when you haven't fought and beaten the worlds best?
Anyhow, that's just my view on it.

Paul, Tai did great and gave a close hard fight with Gurkan the 2nd time around. But one good fight for me isn't enough. I usually want to see somebody prove themselves over several fights to be considered world class. He beat Kara, but Kara is not world class either. He beat Manson Gibson but that again was only one fight. Then again I don't know of all the people that Tai has fought, just commenting on what I have seen.
I am not influenced by any title up for grabs anymore either. I just look at who's fighting. The K-1 crown I take note of.
