I have been told that the show will definetly be going ahead with Gurkan vs Tsokanis as the main event. Jenk is supposedly fighting Cope instead of Zambidis. Briggs vs clay aumuatagi was also mentioned. May 26-keilor basketball stadium-tickets not on sale yet.

Cool,
maybe we can go back to picking the winner of the Tsakonas Vs Ozkan fight.
It really should make for an awesome atmosphere.

Cheers all,
The fight between Jenk & Cope has really kept the interest in this fight as well. I am curious as to how it will play out.. as before Jenks opponent is still very strong, but i know lacks the same boxing skills as Jenk,,, but maybe one or two big punch's ( which cope seems to have) may find their mark befor Jenk either out punch's?? or outkicks cope.
Plus the fact that cope is still ring hard from being active.

Cheers

Does anyone know if the Cope Vs Behic fight is going to be K1 rules?

Cope's a hard boy, I think Jenk will outpoint him in this fight if it isn't K1 rules. I think it will be more even under K1 rules, but still think Behic will win. I've seen this guy in some incredible wars, he has a massive heart that just won't give up.

its on Sunday May 26 at the Keilor Basketball Stadium....

Well should be a grouse night! Im so happy that it wasnt cancelled. As for Ozkan V Tsokonas, I think that if Ozkan fires tsokonas wont have any answer for him. However, if ozkan tries to be too technical it would be a closer fight. For me, Ozkan will win.

Well as for Behiz and Cope... It will surely prove that Mike Cope wasnt a fluke on k1-max. I have been watching some older fights of Jenks and WOW what a grouse fighter. He is a kickboxer! Great hands, and good legs! (referring to the Steve Douet fight). Behic will win.

cant wait!

I think that Jenk should beat Cope. the only thing I see going against him would be the ring rust. Mike did a good job of knocking out Zambidis. However it would seem the flurry of knees that led to Zambidis head splitting open saved Cope from being knocked out himself. I thaught that Zambidis had cope in serious trouble until cope found his range knees.

Mike Cope is a strong fighter and will give Jenk a hard fight, but I just cant see him keeping up with Jenks workrate without his knees. I predict that Jenk will take this fight on points.

I am sorry guys arthur will beat if not knock ozkan out. I dont rate gurkan as a fighter his bar fight haymaker style have never appealed to me. I dont think he has fought anyone worthy since thai boy Dendanie in 1998 (aust V Thai). I think he has a gimme world title with Tarik maybe trying to hold on the the glory days of amir, gurkan and tibet. Long gone are the days of angry fighters and messy brawls the fight game has evolved into strategy witch test both body and mind. The fighters have grown up when are the fans.

Quote from bam bam " I dont rate gurkan as a fighter his bar fight haymaker style have never appealed to me. I dont think he has fought anyone worthy since thai boy Dendanie in 1998 (aust V Thai). "

Since 98 Gurkan has fought:

- Peter Graham
- Phil Fagan
- Supercharge James Verma
- Danial Thai
- John Hallford
- Paul Robinson
- Tibor Vermes
- Heath Stenton

hey guys, do I have to name anymore? And for the facts, Gurkan has never been knocked out and I dont see how Arthur will do that.

And for the quote about a "gimme world title", he retained it by a brutal knockout over Supercharge. So now you have heard the facts.

And about the fans growing up, how about changing your nik for a start...?!!

Cope will be too strong for Jenk, his walk forward style will prove to be a handful...however i could be wrong.

Gurkans style is rather messy and relies on landing those big shots. if he doesnt you will see him run out of steam. I do agree that the fight game is constantly evolving. However their will always be a place for fighters like Gurkan. Just look at Rocky Marciano!

I have not seen any footage of Arthurs fights, but from what I have read he seems like a pretty tough cutomer. The fight I want to see is Sam Soliman against Gurkan. I know there are a lot of people out there who dont appreciate what Sam brings to the sport, but I love his style and attitude. He trains bluddy hard, will fight anybody at anytime and has been around for ages. (Everyone has there favourite fighters.)

Janer you are obviously caught up in the mediocraty of the melbourne kickboxing scene, I take your comment about John Hallford great fighter and is only going to get better now he is adapting to the tactical fighting style of Thai boxing. As for the nick name it was given to me by a ring announcer in one of my earlier fights and it has stuck with my friends and even my family, I thought this was open minded chat room accepting everyone point of view, but to get yours across you have to make personal remarks.

Bambam,
That's a pretty unfair comment regarding the Melbourne Kickboxing scene. Melbourne has at least as many brilliant fighters as what Queensland has.
I don't understand why some of you guys don't want to accept that some people love Kickboxing and K1 rules and prefer it to MT. Kickboxers and there fans don't go making ridiculous comments about MT fighters simply because they prefer their own rules.
