For some reason I'm having difficulty in making sense of your posts dude.. No offence, but could you try restating? The way your post reads, you're telling non drug users to clean their game up..

Training, Training & more training.. Eventually I'll get there..

hey crazykickboxer... who do you think you are mate, in the last week you've come on this forum and mouthed off about every subject in some of your posts you have just copied what other people have said but changed the wording...
i am a regular poster on this forum but changed my name for this post and i am sick of clowns trying to take it over with bull$hit posts
what weight, how many fights, titles or any other stats can you provide on yourself coz i have never heard of you.
it says on your profile that its hard to pay for gym fees on the dole, well why dont you do what the majority of the guys on here do and get a job to pay fees, nothing comes for free in this world and i think you need a reality check.

Questions are usually punctuated with a question mark.
Otherwise they're rhetorical questions.

Aren't they???

Back to what the crazy dude was asking (I think)...

How rampant are roids in the sport? I assume that recreational drugs are fairly rare, due to their negative impact.. am I correct?

the way i look at it, who cares.
steroids don't make you fight any better.
and as for rec drugs. they may fire you up for the minute but after that i think that it would be let down.

this isn't weightlifting where steroids will certainly give you a huge edge. Would JWP be a better fighter with 5kgs of extra body muscle? I doubt it, he would rise to a stronger weight class, probably lose a great deal of endurance and speed.

How many heavyweight boxers do you see who are clearly on the gear and they are off their feet after 2 rounds? Nah, IMHO the only real advantage of steroids in kickboxing is for injury recover (being a great metabolism enhancer), but the water retention and extra muscle concentration is something most kickboxers don't need nor want.

I know of at least 3 current fighters who i have seen the before and after effects and my points above I believe are spot on.

Still though, not a bad way to lose that 10kgs of lard that doesn't seem to want to shift in the off season!<img src=icon_smile_shock.gif border=0 align=middle>

On the question of drugs in kickboxing, wonder if taking roids affects you once you retire..??

Heyas - Just returning to the topic, are fighters typically drug tested? Admittedley, roids etc probably aren't going to help you when it's time to get in the ring, but I was thinking about what'd happen if you happened to climb into the ring with a PCP user etc. Maybe not even something that exotic - isn't heroin supposed to be one of the best analgesics ever?

Just a few things I've been thinking about..

Kayden urine testing which is the cheaper form of drug testing costs $800 per person so you can see why people dont get tested. Perhaps random tests should occer from time to time for suspected users.

I think subsatnces such as Stanazol and Bordalone are used commonly especially in the MMA scene in the US. Using these two substances will increase strength, stamina, recovery, lean mass and reduce body fat. They for sure wont increase your skills but i have seen the intensity of guys training and fighting on this gear and boy do they become machines.

So I would say yes that the use of these substances although not high amongst kickboxers/Thai boxers etc does excist. I would definately say that No top flight fighter in Oz is using which in my eyes is obvious in there body shape. There is one top European K1 fighter that springs to mind who I would say yes uses or who has.

Interesting thing to look at for especially amongst many top US MMA fighters is there facial features from the use of HGH. Extended jaws lines, gaps between front teeth etc etc.

Just my thoughts.
