i was just wondering how come whenever there are those best of lists in the I.K mag Amirs name doesnt come up.The guy was awesome when he exploded onto Australian scene he had awesome Muay Thai skills beat few of bigger names in OZ yet doesnt get respect he deserves.I was really hoping to see him against Zambidis in a knee fight.I hinestly believe a true gentleman of the sport should get mentioned.

Whatever

I'm constantly singing the praises of Prince Amir, the guy was incredible, one of my favourite fighters of all time... but he wasn't Australian, same with Chris Allen, same with Mike Zambidis.

What were all of Prince Amir's accomplishments? Who did he beat?

I know he beat Chris Allen, and an inexperienced Scott Bannan, but were there any other big names Prince Amir was victorious against?

he fought Marcus Mangan,Kenna,Misic from NZ I just think guy brought entertainment to the sport his kicking ring entrances with dancing splits on the ropes whole thing i understand he aint aussie and that but neither is Zambidis and all you hear about is his greatness well i honestly believe Amir deserved it just as much.

Whatever

I would say Prince Amir was good for his time and helped bring the Australian muay thai scene to a higher level.

I know he competed in Sweden and Thailand. I wish someone could bring to light how his career went before he lived in Australia.

Well i have heard from various sources that he has fought across europe and thailand he is just one of those guys that pops into my mind for being humble instead of usual stereotype that fighters are thougs.

Whatever

yeah he sure shattered a lot of stereotypes.

dont worry amir would probably prefer it if australia forgot about him.

I sort of just caught the end of Amir's carreer from about late 99. The fights that I did get to see on Fox and live where always great to watch.

He certainly was one of the nicest blokes I've met through kickboxing and I thought him settling in Sydney was going to be a great boost to the sport in N.S.W. I was really hoping that Amir would be a great link between Vic and N.S.W Kickboxing, but it just didn't get a chance to happen unfortunately.
