Ernesto Hoost has to nearing the end of his marvellous career.

2 x K2 Champion
4 x K1 Heavyweight Champion

I can only recall 2 other guys that have fought in the K1 when they have been 40+.

Branko Cikatic and Maurice Smith.

Hope to see him give it another go this year to try to make it 5 times.

indeed, and also remember he achieved these goals with competition like Aerts, Hug, Sefo, Greco, Bernado, CroCop and LeBanner in the 'golden age' of world heavyweight K1.
Stepping up from dominating cruiserweight in the beginning of his career to doing the same in the heavyweights is truly remarkable.

Another thing that makes Ernesto Hoost so remarkable is the fact that he is arguably the greatest K-1 (heavyweight) and K-2 (light-heavyweight) fighter of all time, and became so, as Voice pointed out, during the "Golden Age" of both weight categories.
