For such an event as this they should bring in judges from different bodies or countrys. The japanese judges are a joke!
JWP loses on points.
Does anyone get this imported to aus on dvd for sale? I would really like to see this one

lol good call fuskas, all the hype was on Mr Zambidis, what happend??? wheres all his supporters hiding??? comon speak up i thought he was going to win.
My congratulations goes out to the better fighter MASATO, thats twice his beaten him now, and i must say Zambidis find him a new name his no more best kickboxer on the planet now, could of been said that to Masato, but i think Baukow will get it now.
Feel sorry for Masato pulling out, but his time will come and will win the pretigiuos tournament!!!
Sad news for JWP, best wishes
Cheers!!!

get over it so he lost whats ur point? no doubt about it zambo is a machine..... there are winners and there are losers..... so get over the fact he lost already......
just so you bozoz know zambo beat masato clearly the last k1. the decision was so one sided. i actually saw the fight. u guys r just going on what u read. zambo will never win in japan unless he knocks out masato cold. he'll beat anyone of those fighters in a proper fight. eg in a 6 8 or 12 round fight not this 3 round bull****. even head hunter can win k1. to all the anti zambo people dont get 2 excited with buakaw winning zambo is still regarded best kickboxer on the planet or atleast until the other fighters learn to punch.

Allan, you’re still bitter that Zambo destroyed, schooled and humiliated Gurkan. Bad luck for Masato. Would love to see them go at it over 10 rounds.
Apparently, JPW got ripped off.

I don't think this is bad for Zambo, now we get to see just how good of a fighter he really is, you don't learn anything from winning all the time but you learn real fast when you lose.
Kostet,
If you get a copy of this or the last K1 MAX can you pls send it to me!

I agree Matt.
I think it's actually good for us the kickboxing spectators. I think many of us were just too confident of a Zambidis right hand K.O to finish just about all his fights.
I think it may perhaps increase the amount of challenges that Zambidis gets as well.

JWP can hold his head high. To be included
among the 8 best fighters on earth is an
acheivment and an honour in itself, to win
just would have been a bonus. He may not have
won the MAX but he has definately lost nothing.
Good things come to those who wait but better
things come to those who get off their asses
to collect. Anyways, there is always next season.
STILL CHAMP.
thnx al.

you know, it's a little disappointing reading some of this 'sucked in' sort of talk. These guys are the best 8 MAX fighters in the world and on half a dozen occasions could have different winners.
Don't forget K1 rules are not everyone's forte, so don't be bagging Zambo or JWP for not winning as hybrid rules aren't going to suit everyone. It isn't boxing where everuone can be judged on the same skills.
I think they are all champs, and humble champs with pride and guts.

A man's gotta know his limitations...
I agree with Voice (for once) they are all great fighters and the result could easily have been different. Plenty of people in here talk up JWP but you dont see us giving them the "I told you so" treatment. We should be happy just to have a couple of blokes representing Oz competing in such a high caliber fight.

yeah sorry fuskas some idiot told me buakaw had won it. it wasnt til i checked off the official website that i discovered what actually happened. and u r right voice stop bagging these guys who have more than proven themselves as credible champions. that is why a lot of fighters dont end up on here to share things with people. im on just to see people pick on voice hehe!

Jono
there was only 1 fighter representing Australia -- JWP
Zamibidis is Greek and fights as a Greek not as an Australian
Trom
u only want the fights to go 6,8 or 12 rounds so Zambidis has more time to try and get a KO with one of his haymakers
as for your comment that zam is the best kickboxer in world , i think your a long way off the mark and cant see any way in hell you can back that up

c'mon let's not start this again...it took 3 months to get the last 'Zambo is/isn't best kb in the world' thread off the forum. K1 isn't kickboxing and it isn't MT so can we not start these arguments again?

Bad luck for JWP and Zambo, another crack next year perhaps.
Well.... Andy Souwer was tipped as the dark horse and he proved he's abit more then that.
Nearly a pure shootfighter he showed the favourites that he can do more then just choke and submit people.
Could this ( MAX ) be heading the down the same path as the heavyweight K1 in which we have seen Dutch dominance????

Zambo may/maynot be the best kickboxer in the world but in my eyes and many other peoples eyes, anyone who gets in the ring and fights is to be admired. I'm not a big fan of Zam but he has just fought in a tournament with the top 8 of the worlds fighters. That alone desrves more than just admiration. No fighter deserves to be bagged unless they guilty of unsportsman like actions. JUST MY THOUGHTS!!!
Bad luck JWP!!!!!

Just watched the event. Unfortuantely the event i got was cut short and believe it or not they actualyl didnt show all of the final.
They did show all of Zambidis and Parr's fight however.
Zambidis i thought had won round 1 and 2 however Masato easily took round 3 with the knockdown. Zambidis went for a kick too many and got connected with a punch that knocked him down. Personally it should have gone a extra round IMO.
Parr, although he out kicked his opponant easily, didnt out punch his opponant and Kraus had Parr a few times on the back foot. Correct decision in my opinion.
I only saw final (extra round) of hte final between Buakaw and Souwer and thought that Souwer had done enough to win it. He did have a very easy route to the final.
Not a bad event. Dissapointing to see Zambidis and Parr lose so early.
