I cant wait to see how Jones will handle the heavyweights. Will his speed allow him to still dominate as he is no longer the biggest pucher or the strongest in the division?
Well, it has now been revealed that they haven't signed yet. They are still working on the contracts. THey expect it to be finalised within the next couple of weeks. What are people's thoughts on this matchup. Is Roy Jones Jr reacting to all the critisism's of the boxing world. I believe that he intends to go to heavywieght for one fight against Ruiz only, but if he wins the "world" title he might be tempted by don king to stay there for a few fights.

I think that Roy will make Ruiz look average, Roy seems to do it to nearly everyone he fights ( refer to the Kelly fight ). and given the chance to show off his skills even if it is in the heavyweight division, he will not disapoint i am sure.

How would he go up against Lewis, Holyfield or Tyson?

Interesting one madjack... I would have to totally re-think this one, as Ruiz aint no Lewis, Tyson or Holyfield.. These three are in a class of their own, and all three can take a good whack!

Roy Jones Jr apparently said that he didn't want to fight lewis because he was too big and strong, and preferred to go for Ruiz for a single fight only. I doubt that he could bridge the gap against somebody like Lewis, but I think he can beat Ruiz.

I'd go with Ruiz to beat him guys. We are talking about a guy with 40-50 pounds on Roy. He would wear Roy out eventually, tie him up and make the fight ugly as he normally does. Whatever it takes to win!
