Kirk, I agree with you there, I think it would be an excellent fight with both fighters being at their peak, if it was under full thai rules I would be putting my money on Dawson and under USA Kickboxing rules, I think Mike would be victor.
Would love to see it happen though

This is what I read on the ax site:
"Mike Zambidis lost debut in Holland! Mike lost a close decision to Noel Soares last weekend"
That's all I know!

hi guys im a close friend of Zambidis and i will give u the info on mike's fight in holland. He fought under thai rules and got the first 5 rounds, almost knocked the other guy out with two knees to the head, lost the last round and obviously was shocked when the ref gave the fight to his opponent!
He is not dissapointed and they did try to appeal it, however did not want to cause fuss cause there will be a rematch in a bigger event, and to note that the fan reaction he received was huge! Seems like mike's reputation travels fast!!!

unfortunatly i dont have Austar at the moment and have not seen Mike Zambidies fight since he was opened up by Mike Cope in the K1 Max. How is Mike addapting to Thai rules? From what I read he seems to be doing well but find it hard to imagine him in a full thai rules fight.
As far as knees and elbows go Dawson is a seasoned expert. It is hard for me to forsee how this fight will unravel from Zambidies side but Im sure Dawson is the sort of solid standing fighter that would brace himself and absorb Mikes increadible power before exploading with his knees and elbows at close range, or that dangerous lead leg round kick to the head as Zambidies moves out. I would like to see some of Zambidies more recent fights aspecially with knees and elbows just to see how he has adapted to the game. Is it possible to purchase videos from anywhere?

I don't think Zambidis has fought with elbows yet and when he has fought with knees ( I can only speak for the K1 Max- but I'd say the European fights were the same), it has been modified Thai rules, this means very limited grappling, so it is different to a Muay Thai fight.
I 110% doubt that Zambidis will ever fight Dawson Muay Thai rules.
